Yes! I am graduating from law school and taking the bar exam in February!  That’s a BIG step I feel like I have to get through before I REALLY concentrate on the wedding.  Good luck on your test!

i am in the middle of taking the CPA exam which is four 3-4 hour tests. the process is kind of long too (6-12 months). so i have two down (not sure if i passed the 2nd one) and am taking a study break for my wedding (this friday!!).

i agree – waiting is the hardest part. but you’ll pass if you put in the study time. it definitely does distract from the wedding planning, but i think the busier you are the more productive you are… and you are also better at time management since you have so much going on.

good luck!

when i got married the first time, i had a major presentation on my research project at an international conference (i was a grad student at the time) literally 6 days before the wedding.  in fact, we rolled the trip to the conference into a bit road trip including that, the wedding (destination-ish), and two picnic-style receptions in two different states for both families.  talk about a hectic three weeks, lol.

Yes! I totally feel your pain.

In the past 60 days I have: graduated with my Doctorate in Physical Therapy, studied for, took and passed the national licensing exam, packed up our entire life, moved from Maine to New York, married the love of my life, went on an amazing honeymoon, drove a 17′ truck with a trailer towing our car to Chicago, unpacked our entire life and started my very first job as a physical therapist.

You’ll get through it! Try to remember to have fun and to not stress too much!

I spent May/June/first half of July in Guatemala doing research and then in PA visiting family so I could do very little of the planning then (thankfully Darling Husband was awesome and did a lot of it himself).

Then I took the GRE 2 weeks before the wedding. I had every intention of really buckling down for it but because of the wedding didn’t as much as I wanted to (really just reviewed math concepts). In the end I got my scores today and I killed the writing portion (the portion that really matters for my applications).

Good Luck!
