I have only been able to wear my ring for one shift at work so far (it was getting resized), and it was awkward to get used to while cutting at first and then I stopped thinking about it too much.
It stays fine while I am shampooing but the slipperyness of the conditioner makes it spin around . My ring definitely fits snug so I am not worried about it falling off. Will I get used to this? Sometimes it wiggles from side to side while I am cutting as well.
Also, do you worry about getting product up in it or anything? I really don’t want to have to leave my ring at home while I am working.
I should probably ask my co-workers but its my day off today so I’m asking y’all! 😛

Hi! So, not a stylist but a dental hygienist and barista, but when I am working with anything “gunky”, I do take my rings off because buildup can be so hard to remove by yourself at home. The spinning, if you continue to wear it while washing hair, is something you will get used to.
I so understand not wanting to leave your ring at home, so have you thought about a necklace to put it on for the times at work you don’t want stuff getting all over your ring?
http://www.emilyc.com has one that you don’t have to un-clasp to get the ring on the pendant (it’s almost like a puzzle),
Tiffany’s also has some, here’s a cheaper one: http://www.tiffany.com/Shopping/Item.aspx?sku=24945561

One of my BM’s who is a hairstylist as well has had problems with her rings. She actually got contact dermatitis from it becuase the shampoo and stuff would get stuck in the grooves and sit on her finger all day… She also had problems with them spinning and got paranoid that it they would slip off. Now she has one of those clip things on a necklace she puts her ring on when she shampoos and conditions at the salon.
