I’m not really hippie, but I did see that you are in Flag- lucky!  I miss that town terribly!

I’m in Chandler now, not enough jobs in our field for us to stay in Flag otherwise we would be there in a heartbeat.  I spent all summers, school breaks, and college there.  I really miss the easy going atmosphere (hippy-ness) and being able to drive 10 minutes and be out in the woods.  It definitely is different from Portland, but as close as you can get in AZ!  I guess growing up in a constant state of dehydration, I’ve never noticed it much, lol.

I’m a "hippie" bride! My dress consultant even jokingly (I think) asked me if I was planning on walking down the aisle barefoot! I’m not but I’ve always been the free spirit of my friends, and now our wedding is going to be just down the road from the commune where my parents lived before I was born and where I went to elementary school, or Hippie School, as my friends call it….whooohoo!

Your wedding sounds a lot like mine! I feel like our venue is kind of perfect for it though because it’s a mansion-type venue on the top of a hill and there are trees for miles.

Well I am definitely hippie (I am probably your mother’s age) but I am wearing a vintage dress for the wedding. Does having the processional song Nothing Else Matters by Apocalypta count? My BMs are wearing braja dresses for the wedding and I am wearing a braja dress to the post-wedding pig roast.

I don’t consider myself a hippy but I’m definitely a free spirited tattooed bride!

Not really a hippie, but trying to sort of convey that "feeling" through our picnic wedding! =)

@northernazbride, I totally was hippie chic until I started my real job and had to get a haircut and wear heels.  I actually spent a few weeks in Flag with a friend that went to school there for a time and LOVED it.  My city has more of an indie/alternative vibe, but I like to think I hold my own as a nature loving hippie.  ๐Ÿ™‚

Our wedding is outdoors and feels very rustic.  My Fiance also brings clean lines and a modern feel to things, but he appreciates my organic, woodsy elements.
