Recently engaged (12/30/17 :-D!) and set the date about 3 weeks later for 7/27/2019. Our venue is a beautiful outdoor space with a ceremony on a bridge over a small waterfall/pond and a tented reception with chandeliers and pretty twinkle lights. It also has an awesome fire pit set up too that they build and maintain, late night snack s’mores anyone?! It’s so pretty, meaning I barely need to decorate (double yay!) and such a steal compared to other venues in the area. I’m thinking of a somewhat casual feeling backyard garden party with lawn games, good food and great music. It seems so long to wait, but allows us to save over time and have the wedding we want during the best time of year for an outdoor wedding in Western Washington lol!
Any other July 2019 brides out there yet? I’d love to hear where you’re at in planning and all about your vision 🙂

I’m August 2019, but the first weekend of August, so barely out of July… is it okay if I still play? I love talking about my wedding plans, haha!
We’re having a Sunday wedding at a distillery that has a beautiful clubhouse and lawn. We’re hoping to have an outdoor ceremony on the lawn under the trees and then the reception inside the clubhouse. In lieu of a cocktail hour, our guests will be able to tour the distillery between the ceremony and reception, which is so cool! We’re thinking of doing lawn games too, particularly corn hole because my fiance’s family loves it, and I want to have board/card games inside in addition to dancing, because my fiance and his friends love them and it will be a fun alternative to dancing. We’re thinking a BBQ buffet for dinner, an ice cream bar instead of cake, and I’m trying to sell my fiance on a slushy machine…
We just want it to be laid back and simple too! Our venue is also really gorgeous and will require very minimal decorations. I’m thinking just some wildflowery bud vase centerpieces and a garland and floral wreath above the fireplace that’s inside the clubhouse.

pawneegoddess : hey girl, sorry I am just seeing this! It sounds like you’re the weekend right after me so yes, please play!! I love the idea of a distillery wedding, your venue sounds great. I’m honestly super excited about lawn games! Have you seen the Etsy decals for personalizing cornhole boards. A little extra but super cute 😉 (I’m totally doing it! Lol)

Hey! First post, but yes I’m also getting married in July 2019, on 20/07/19! Both of your wedding ideas sound amazing! 🙂 I live in the UK and have just started wedding planning. It does feel so long away, but I’m sure it’ll fly by.
Our hope is for a relaxed and fun wedding (but keeping some classic things in). We’re going to have the ceremony in a local church, and have just booked our main venue which is a small manor house in the middle of the countryside. It’s a bit rough around the edges, but I really like that tbh. We’re planning quite a small (60-70ppl), relaxed wedding, so also thinking lawn games and lots of time outside! We’ll have a sit-down wedding breakfast (that’s def the norm over here) and then hopefully a more laid back BBQ in the evening. Considering either a live funk band, or maybe some casino tables (can’t afford both!) My fiance and I are both big feminists, so trying to find ways of weaving that in but not sure yet (we’re not sure about things like ‘giving away’) and he’s an astrophysicist so we might have some telescopes & star gazing maybe? Early days!

My wedding will be July 6 2019! We are having it at a banquet hall and I’ve already booked hair and makeup (2 people I inquired about were already booked!) and will be booking photography and videography soon. Does anyone know how soon I should be booking flowers and decor?? Im always feeling like I’m not doing enough or soon enough.
