  • Wedding: July 2013

My wedding is July 27th, 2013. I am totally trying to shed some of this weight off of me before the big day. This past month alone I’ve lost ten pounds (wooohoo).

I am currently at 232 and would like to be around 190 by the wedding. I don’t think it’s too much of a goal. I know I can do it. But I guess I’d be happier knowing I lost some weight for the wedding rather than just looking at a number.

So there are 7 months til the big day. Even if I just lose 5 pounds a month, I would be happy.

How am I going to do this? I am watching what I eat. Cut back on sweets and pop big time. I had two pops the other day cause i was working on no sleep and I about had a heartattack. Way too much for me now. I am also jogging and will be going to fitness classes starting in Jan with my Future Mother-In-Law.

As my journey has started, i just have to remind myself that it’s not an overnight fix and there will be days I feel like I fail. But big picutre wise, I can get back on track and I know I can do it.

You can do it, girl!!! I also want to lose some weight for my late June wedding. I am totally plateau-ing.

In the next few weeks/ months, I plan on eliminating processed foods and reducing sugar (I literally eat a whole klondike bar every night). I heard that helped as we have such a build up of toxic cards and our blood glucose levels are wacky because of all the refined carbs!

@lealorali:  Mmm klondikes. I had one a couple months ago, the pretzel flavor one. SO delicious……..but evil. Haha.

I’m in! Want to drop 10 before dress hunting and want major toning before the honeymoon. I’m considering the 5 factor plan by Harley Pasternak. Discipline is hard with Fiance around!

@jatelynn:  What have you been doing to lose the weight? I am married but I really need to lose some weight for health purposes, plus I have a half a closet of clothes are 3 to 4 sizes smaller than I am!

@VictorianLilac718:  nothing too extreme, at least i don’t think so. I am really watching what I eat. Smaller more frequent meals are definitely my go to. I feel more like I’m snacking rather than gorging, and i love it. Choosing fruits and veggies instead of chocolate and cookies. I limit myself to maybe a pop a week. Just being more concious in choosing what I eat and how it might make my body feel.

I also started walking/jogging and hope soon to be full time running. It was tough cause I always thought I wasn’t a runner but I love it. It clears my head and makes me feel awesome. I am also going to start taking some fitness classes with my Future Mother-In-Law starting in Janurary.

It just got to the point where I knew I had to do something and really listening what my body wants.

  • Wedding: August 2013

I’m in.  I want to be back down to my wedding size for my vow renewal on August 3rd.  I need to lose 30+ lbs to get back into a pair of shorts and a bikini I wore on our honeymoon 12 yrs ago.  In addition, my gown is sleeveless and there can be no back fat or arm flab on the bride.  Besides, its too hot in August for me to be overweight.  I get too sweaty and miserable.  So in order to have the outdoor ceremony I want AND to be comfortable, I must kick it into high gear.

I will do a modified version of 6 wk body makeover, walking, and some resistance training. My main plan is to set small goals in building up to my big goal.  When I reach those goals I will treat myself with non-food items.  I also will try to stay focused and be POP everyday…perfectly on plan. If I fall short- I will start back up on plan the next meal and not wait until the next day.

@lealorali- I have never had a Klondike but my odd stress treat has been Oreo blizzards.  I have averaged 2-3 a week for the last 2 months.  I may need one tomorrow to get them out of my system but come Jan 1st I am done.  Odd thing is I had never even had one until about 2 months ago…never!  🙂

I, too, am marrying in August, and have started the slim down process to look better in a wedding dress.

I am getting married on August 3, and my goal is just to look better. I’m ~140 lbs right now (5’8”), and would like to lose the 15 lbs I put on AND look much better at 125 (less flabby) than I ever have. I plan on doing this via clean eating, cardio/weights, and yoga.

How is everyone doing?

I was estactic cause I went dress shopping the other day and I think my family finally realized how much weight I have lost in the past couple months. Only because of my boobs am I a size 22 in wedding gowns but everywhere else I measured a 16.

Haven’t gotten too much exercise in this week. But Monday I start fitness classes with my Future Mother-In-Law. I’m super excited.

I had a cookie today cause I was craving a sweet. Man I thought I had a pound of sugar. It made me really anxious. Haha.
