Please share if you got anything done so far! 🙂 Here’s everything I’ve managed to do already
- Booked our venue
- Bought my dress, slip, & shoes
- Set our color scheme
- Bought my wedding band
- Bought the guest book
- Bought supplies for our DIY card box
- Bought the invitation kits (they were $4 each since the store was going out of business! So overall I paid $16 for 150 sets of invites/rsvp cards)
- Bought place card kits
- Ordered our save the dates (won’t send out until next year, but I caught a great sale!)
- Have a hair stylist (lady who does FMIL’s hair…she is fantastic!)
We plan on booking our DJ next week, and our photographer shortly after. By the end of summer we plan on having all our materials for our centerpieces ordered. I’ve been trying to hit the gym in hopes of getting myself into a workout routine (i KNOW that in itself will take quite a bit of time haha) so I can tone up a bit. I know it’s still so early, but it feels SO nice to get a lot of these things crossed off our list already 🙂

Whoa! You are ON THE BALL!!!!! Great job!
I have not, I am waiting to book or buy anything until I actually have the ring, even though we are technically engaged and have our date picked and are working on stuff, the only thing I’ve really done is pick a colour-scheme. :/

- Wedding: March 2015 - The Lodge at Mackenzie Place
Met with a photographer (who we will be booking)
Florist consultation in June (mostly to check prices)
DJ and catering will be taken care of probably in 6 months or so…
Dress Shopping not until we are about 9 months from the date…I just don’t want to get one and then keep looking at other dresses (I WILL AND I WILL REGRET IT!)

I have begun to pay off my dress (well my mum has)
Chosen but not booked our venues, and photographer.
My MOH’s mum is a florist so i will be getting a great deal on flowers and hoping to DIY a lot of invites etc to save money :]

I want to book my venue but I can’t make a decision :/ we’re still debating between a local and destination wedding. I’ve done a ton of research but I haven’t actually booked anything!

I have yet to book anything… but! I know what were doing once we have the money.
Found “the one” lol and she gave me an amazing price even with a second shooted
Found one in our budget! Still waiting to hear back from 2 but I think they’ll be overpriced
-Ceremony and Reception Venue
Found it! Not booked yet though. They want the full cost of the venue rental as the deposit ($2000 for ceremony location, $2500 for reception venue)
Not yet bought, but I have figured out what I’m doing.
She’s amazing and highly reccomended. It costs $170, but it’s airbrush and includes lashes and has been proven to be perfect even if you get it wet. Definetly worth it I think. As soon as I book my venue I’ll be giving her a call.
Decided upon, not yet bought of course.
All songs have been decided upon.

You go girls!! We just got engaged two weeks ago and up until then, I was just browsing Pinterest! So I’ve been trying to find a venue and look at prices of the stuff I know we want (we know food, an open bar, favors, and colors)! We are designing our invites and sending them off to get print and cut, but I still need to find a company to do that.

Wow… I feel so far behind! We got engaged 5 weeks ago and I wasn’t technically supposed to do anything until last week. Many years ago, when we first fell in love, I promised not to do anything towards the wedding for 4 weeks. Yeah, right! It lasted a fortnight!!
We have booked our venue, started investigating caterers, booked my florist (good friend… it was a no-brainer!), meeting a celebrant tonight, started talking to photographers about availability, picked our colours, ordered the save the dates, bought the bridesmaid dress… And organised the engagement party for March 15th.
I tried on two dresses and both were a disaster, so I’m going to wait a few more months. Not keen to re-live those first two!

You guys are really killin’ it on the progress! We booked our venue/caterer, we are booking our photographer this month, and we are also going to be booking our officiant this month as well. I started paying down my dress, and should have it in the next couple months! We’ve chosen our colors and are figuring out our theme. 🙂

- Picked the wedding party
- Bought my dress
- Booked the photographer and videographer
- Picked out the bridesmaid dresses
- Started working on our DIY decorations – I plan to do a lot!
And we are meeting with florists and DJs next month! Sometimes I want to stop myself and say that I’m doing things too early, but it’s nice to see other brides in the same boat as me. 🙂
