@crosscountry09:  Same!

And OP, I believe there are a few older threads kicking around on the topic as well. But no harm in a new one!

My Fiance is 15 years older than me most of the year. πŸ™‚  It works well for us.  I’ve always dated men 10+ older than me.  It’s always been a better fit due to my “old soul.”

My guy is 14 years older than me πŸ™‚

Sometimes when i think about it, it sounds huge.. but it works for us. He’s fun and young at heart, and I am not the party type. He is successful and responsible (what I was looking for after my previous relationship), and sweet and kind.

@SconnyGirl – Sometimes I feel sad that my Fi has had the whole wedding experience before, too.  I think it’s normal because you don’t get to be the “first one.”  Of course, we get to be the “last one” and that’s even better!

@lia22:  Me too! My parents are (or rather my mom and step dad)

And it works great for them. Truly, it is what shows me what a relationship should be like. Loving, fun, respectful, spontaneous etc.

I just worry about when he is 80 and she is 65 what it will be like.

@lia22:  Me too, and now that I know, it’s a little depressing!!! Like, December is the absolute end of the line, implying near death? YIKES!

Can’t there be a better euphemism for it? πŸ™‚

*For the record, I’m not one of those people in marriage, but have dated older once or twice*

I’m fond of older men and I tried to date one once that was only 11 years older but he couldn’t handle it.  He brought up his age allllll the time and it drove me bonkers. He assumed that because I was younger (25 at the time), i was so naieve and innocent. But I’ve been living on my own since 17 and even before then, I pretty much took care of my mum and sisters. He just hadtoo many hangups about it to work.

But I’m a firm believe that love knows no bounds! Age is nothing if you love eachother!
