I know I will gain weight after I get married. Right now my personal trainer has me on a strict “nutrition plan” to lean out. So I know once I go off of it, I am sure I will put on anything I lost. I am not overweight by any means (125lbs 5’5) & I work out constantly, but my personal trainer wants to see how my body reacts to a strict diet. She wants to get me into fitness modeling & what better time to try to lose a few lbs than before the wedding! I also plan on eating anything in sight after this is over…….

Surprisingly, no! DH’s baseball season starts next month when he leaves for spring training in Arizona, so he has been working out everyday, and I have been tagging along!

I dropped 2 dress sizes before the wedding and they’ve come back. Sigh. I guess I have to make a date with Jillian Michael’s again….

Sorry that it has happened to everyone else, but sort of glad I’m not alone LOL.
Just called the studio down the street from me to join their cardio kickboxing class and I just need to nice weather here so I get my butt out of bed and walk in the morning too.

*raises hand* i definitely fell prey to the “newleywed nine”. ended up joining ww to counteract it and am once again working towards my weight loss goals.

When DH and I met (09/2004) I was 135lbs.
In 12/2008, I was at 160lbs. I couldn’t believe it.
I started working out and eating better, and had a goal in mind of 130lbs.
DH (then FI) proposed in 08/2009 and I was down to 145lbs. We set a date of 9/25/2010 and my goal was to be at 128 by our wedding.
On our wedding day, I was 132lbs, only 4lbs from my goal…
In the three months following our wedding, I gained 12lbs. YIKES. I got lazy after the wedding – I just wanted to relax, we had been so busy, it was time to take “ME” time.
When I saw that I was up 12lbs, I got back on the wagon. I’m currently at 141, 13lbs away from my goal… pretty frustrating when I was a mere 4lbs away in September.

Add me to the list! I lost a lot of weight before the wedding and was at my lowest I’ve been since high school. Fast forward 5 months – I’m up 30 lbs 🙁 Such a bummer! And I just don’t have the motivation to get it off now. We are going on a vacation in a week and I’m so bummed cuz I don’t fit in into of the clothes I wore on my honeymoon

Definitely! I’ve been a yo-yo since our wedding! I had lost a lot of weight leading up to it b/c I was so stressed out, and afterwards, I felt like this weight had been lifted off of my shoulders. So that weight apparently went to my hips :o)
Then I went off the pill and lost a good 15 pounds again. I’m back to my “normal” weight now!

I too packed on the pounds 🙁 …I have started working on it though and am slowly dropping again. I don’t know if I blame it on it being post wedding or holiday eating season. It’s good to hear I’m not alone though. My goal is to get to my happy weight before we even think about having kiddos.

Oh Lord yes! I lost 20lbs for the wedding. 10 have found me again 🙁 With swimsuit season around the corner, I need to get back to wedding weight. I would even like to be 5lbs less than I was at my wedding. I started working out more, and eating better this week 🙂

It happened to us as well. It is just so hard to take it off again! But I’m trying to walk everyday since the weather had been nice, but I see that for the next few days or so it is going to be snowing and cold again!! I can’t wait for spring to get here!!!

I did gain weight after the wedding, but I’m not sure if it counts. I lost a lot of weight from stress during the two weeks prior to the wedding and I gained THAT all back eventually after the honeymoon, but overall I am my normal pre-wedding weight plus one lb (which I would like to lose, but we all know it’s almost impossible to lose that 1 lb!!)

@roxy821: I’m glad I’m not the only one! I feel like a total slacker but nothing changes. I think working from home probably doesn’t help but on the other hand it means my schedule is totally flexible! So really, I have no excuse.

Me too! I can’t give exact numbers because I am afraid to look at a scale. My clothes still fit, but I feel myself jiggling a lot more than I should. The pounds didn’t hit me until after the holidays though.

I’ve gained weight but also don’t think it counts. I was too thin at the time of our wedding because I was so stressed. I needed some meat on my bones! I have probably gained about 8 lbs in 6 months – but I feel good about my weight right now. DH on the other hand has probably gained 15-20 lbs. Its really not good but its so hard to talk to him about it!
