I certainly don’t…unless you count the radioactive looking pee after I take my prenatals! I have seriously never felt more hideous. I’m breaking out, pale, bloated, and just sickly looking! I feel like I’ve been lied to about pregnancy my whole life. I’m 11w2d right now, and I’m just hoping things will improve in the second trimester. Blehhh.

I feel the same way! I’m 32 weeks and nothing has changed. My skin looks terrible! I have small red burst blood vessels all over my face, terrible. I’m lookig forward to having my nice skin back! Baby is sucking the life out of me but it is worth it.

I feel that way! At around 4 months my hair started FALLING OUT. My hair is growing back now in sprouts and it looks hideous!! The old wive’s tale of girls stealing your beauty is very true for me!

I don’t think I know any pregnant women who feel glowy, myself included!

Hate to be the bearer of bad news, but I’m almost at the 39 week point and the ‘glow’ never happened. At some point you will transition from looking bloated to having an obvious baby bump (at which point assholes like my brother will tell you you’re WAY too big to just call it a bump – yeahhhh that was the comment I got last night, I smacked him upside the head for it). But it also comes with stretch marks. The breaking out did eventually go away, that was nice I guess. But from the realistic pregnant women I’ve talked to, they pretty much all confirm that the ‘glow’ is a myth. I know one person who actually had it, and she also went from being super skinny to having an obvious baby bump, never broke out or had morning sickness, and did races and triathalons and coached swim lessons throughout her pregnancy. I hate her. LOL

@Cory_loves_this_girl: I’m not pregnant now but I felt the same way you did in the beginning. Once you get a more obvious pregnant belly and become more accostomed to being pregnant you will feel better, I promise

Count me in as another one who somehow missed the “glow”. I just feel fat, uncomfortable, and READY for this pregnancy to be over with!!

@Wonderstruck: She must be a superhero or something…

Yes I definately am. Oh wait, you said “glowing” not “growing”.
I am growing and the only thing glowing are my orange fingers from the spicy cheetos I ate yesterday.

@ThreeMeers: hahhaaha i have an unhealthy obsession with cheetos too. so delicious.

Ha! Hells to the no on looking good while pregnant. I have learned to somewhat ignore the terrible acne that is raging on my back, chest and arms, but just when I think one pimple is going away on my face one or 2 more sprout up. I have also been pretty stuffed-up or my nose is constantly running, so I am either sniffling, breathing through my mouth, or trying to be sneaky about wiping away crusted snot from my nose most of the time. SOOO attractive!
The one and the only thing I like better about my body during pregnancy so fare are my boobs–I was never blessed in this department before and it is kinda cool having huge knockers. However, it makes it hard to “show them off” when they are adorned with tons of zits on my chest. *Sigh* Yaaaay hormones!

Haha, nope! I feel like my face looks really tired, especially my eyes. XD I think it’s because of the lack of restful sleep.

I’m the same way.. at almost 26 weeks.. sorry 🙁 I found my skin breakouts go in phases though. It was really bad, then it cleared right up then was bad again. I started using coconut oil to wash my face and only that, it’s really helped. I also breakout on my chest now which has never happened before. My nails are nice and long though 😉 definately no glowing here. I’m having a girl, I think I heard that if you’re having a girl they suck the beauty out of you.. which is true for me haha.

@cowgirlace: haha I second the backne problem — I just had to pop a zit on my shoulder that was so painful I thought about putting my arm in a sling! Hopefully it’ll go away now. GO AWAY I SAID.
I’ve had no morning sickness and am still running 5Ks and feeling fine all around, but I am still not glowing. Some people say I am, but I think they just mean I look happy, which I totally do on days when the sun is out and it’s warm and I can put the windows down and wear summer skirts … in other words, I “glow” sometimes but it has absolutely nothing to do with being pregnant

I definitely am not glowing. I’m 27 weeks and still have badddddd back acne with some occasional breakouts on my face. My skin looks awful, my hair looks awful, and I always feel pale and blah. But I wouldn’t trade it for anything because I can’t wait to meet my little man 🙂
