I went to my first couple of Pure Barre classes this week… OMG! I am a super tall size 14 gal and I felt like Will Ferrel in “Elf” around all those petite former ballerinas, lol!!! It was a hoot. I didn’t really understand all the “tucks” and “lifts” but I really had fun.
I was just curious if any other Bees had done this or do this to stay in shape. How does it work for you? I’d like to tone my upper body & maybe lose 5 lbs by April. (My diet is back under control. Whoo hoo!) Doable?
(Sorry for double post. Meant to put in “Wedding Related” category.)

@soontobesaieed: Sounds like you had a good time, I just read an article about it recently and it looked so fun and interesting. I am not anywhere petite, or ballerina ish and I sure could use some extra coordination in my life, lol. Let us know when you see results!

I did ballet for 14 years and still dance (yes, even as a curvy girl!)
The Pure Barre in my city is a little too far from me, but there is a studio opening closer to me (not Pure Barre, but same concept), and I really want to try it out. I miss ballet!

It was a blast. I wish it weren’t so darn expensive or that my gym offered classes. Oh well! I’ll probably give it a few more tries before the wedding. I could REALLY use a little extra help… I got the call that my wedding dress came in today – A MONTH EARLY! I laughed and told the store I’d be in to try it in a month. So I guess I have a mini-goal before the big day.
