We’re getting married 10/13/13! We’re doing it partially because for some it is a long weekend and we live about 600 miles from most of our guests, and partially to make my super-religious Jewish parents happy. Also also because it is SO much cheaper on a Sunday. Our venue is $1500 less, our photographer is $1300 less, the DJ will be about $300 less. I might not be Jewish anymore but I’ve got the money saving skills down! :Þ
So, do I have any date twins to share with? And if not, who else here is getting married on a Sunday?

I’m not a date twin but I’m getting married on a Sunday too!!! We’re getting married Columbus Day weekend so it works out that a lot of people who have to travel can go home either after the wedding ends on Sunday or the next day on Monday ^_^

Hi ladies! I’m not getting married on a Sunday but I am having my reception on a Sunday. =)
@MrsFutureG: So true that things can be cheaper! My videographer and photographer added their services for two days with little or no cost. Also there is no awkward time between the ceremony and the reception.
@SuperDuperBrit: Yay for Columbus Day! I look forward having an entire weekend of festivities and having a day off following it.

@MrsFutureG: I’m a date twin! 🙂
We picked that date for multiple reasons, some of which you mentioned as well… First, 13 is my lucky number, it pops up everywhere for me! Sunday weddings are much cheaper which is a huge plus, and Monday Oct 14 is Columbus Day so we figured a lot of people would have off on Monday, making it much easier for travel, etc…

Ohh Hi Twins!!
We also picked the date for similar reasons (my lucky number is 13). We also started dating in 2010 so we figured recognizing 10/13 (starting dating/wedding) would be nice.

Hello Date Twins!
We chose the same weekend (10/13/13) because 13 is a lucky number for us as well AND it is the anniversary of our first date. Plus, I love the idea that it is on Columbus Day weekend…we can have the whole weekend together and no one has to go to work on Monday. Added to that, the foliage will be lovely in Maine and fall is our favorite season!

I’m a 10/13/13 bride too! We were shooting for 10/12, but you’re right, it’s much cheaper on Sunday. Not very many of our guests or FI/I will have Monday off, but some people will, so that’s a plus too. Congrats everyone!

I am Sunday but in November of this year. I am doing it because it will be our 14 year anniversary and I always wanted to get married on our anniversary. So a 2012 wedding to celebrate 14 years (and 3 kids).

Not a date twin but we got married on a Sunday too! August 5 of this year. We picked a Sunday because it was our 10 year anniversary and we couldn’t imagine getting married on any other day. Now that I think of it, I don’t remember getting anything cheaper because of the day but I know a few people that have so it’s definetely a plus!
