I’m considering Athena or Eucalyptus. 😀

If I could afford it though, I would have already ordered Zolotova.  That is my favorite, so in love with it.

That makes me nervous – what type of figure do you have?

Sounds like it isn’t the dress for me, then – I’m 5’5″, size 12/14  street size, and very “curvy.”

Thanks for the heads up!  I definitely need something with some structure and definition.

A girl I know from another board is wearing a custom Zoltova, and it’s one of the prettiest most stunning wedding dresses I have ever seen.

Yay for other brides wearing Chrissy Wai-Ching!  I wore a modified cubana. You can see a little of it in my avatar…..

Kvetch on Indiebride has a 50 page thread devoted to Wai-ching, if you’re interested in seeing more.

Check this out. Zolotova in all whites and creams. *swoons*

I am SO in love with the zolotova, I feel like with it being heavier, it would flatter my figure better, and I’m a february bride so I’m not worried about getting hot.  I really wish I could afford it. *sad face*

I can’t find a dress in my price range that is indie/boheme enough for me, and would suit my curvier figure.   I’m beginning to think I’m going to design my own gown (put a lifetime of fine arts training to good use, I guess) and find an etsy seller that will make it for me, ’cause I have a picture in my head, and it just doesn’t exist.  🙁

I do love wai ching, though.

Bliss dress for me!  I was so thrilled when I tried it on.  I was beginning to think I wouldn’t find a wedding dress in my budget!  The best part for me (amongst several amazing parts):  Chrissy is willing to use some fabric from my mom’s wedding dress to make the inner layer of the dress.  I love how customizable her dresses are, from color to every detail, and how willing she is to make changes to suit people.  As a short-ish, small-chested bride, I am thrilled not to have to spend $$$ to make a standard designer dress fit me!

Oh, one more thing… all the Wai-Ching pictures do NOT do the fabrics justice.  They are so soft, silky (well, they are silk…), and basically just delicious.  No itchy tulle or other synthetics.  If you can, go to her studio!  I did get stuck in the elevator briefly, but it was totally worth it!

Here are some pictures of me in one of the Bliss samples.
