@RGilberti: I’ve strugged with not knowing how to entertain guests as well. We’ll probably have about 40 guests, so we’ve decided to not having a DJ or any dancing. It just doesn’t seem necessary and it would be quite weird if only a couple people wanted to dance. Other entertainment options- Mariachi band, photobooth, fire dancers, or going to the disco/club (most resorts have their own on site). We have no idea what were going to do, probably just have a private dinner and enjoy each others company. Not exactly crazy entertainment, but I guess thats the trade off to having a small destination wedding. Also, I have a feeling us brides make a bigger deal out of it than it really is. If our guests are coming all the way to Mexico to see us get married I’m sure they will be happy to just be with us on our special days. Good luck!

@smcopp89: I’m in a similar situation. I’ll be 26 when I get married. We’re inviting around 75 people; given the fact that the wedding is on a weekday, however, and a bunch of people live out-of-state, I’d be surprised if more than 40 show up. I wouldn’t have it any other way. As @AME89
said, you’ll actually know and love all of your guests!! 🙂

When we’re getting married net year, I’ll be 20 and he’ll be 21. We’re gonna have an intimate shindig of around 20-50, depending on who wants to fly out from Australia to America. My biggest gripe with the small wedding, and especially with the friends we have, is figuring out how to best entertain everyone… dancing would really be out of place here!

We’re getting married next august, I’ll be 21. My Fi and I have 2 kids together n we want to have a family oriented wedding. there will be 35 guests, the only people we’re having there is our local family, and our closest friends( most of the guests will be under 10 yrs old) so we’re doing an outdoor wedding with bbq inspired h’or dourves and high tea sandwiches, fruit and a massive dessert buffett. We’re also going to try to include some outdoor games. Im very much looking forward to it! Even though we were originally planning a larger wedding, downsizing was the best choice for us. It’s exactally what we want =D
