- Wedding: July 2010
I was 35 and he was 37 on our wedding day. Neither one of us has been married before. Hurray for waiting for the right one!
I am 41, fiance is 35. We were engaged in February, getting married in October. Some people thought we should “wait”. WTF??? I think I waited long enough. Yes, I have to make more budget compromises than if I had more time to save money, but that’s my issue.
We are exactly 3 months out and I am really beginning to get excited!
Im 32, will be 33 in December! SO is 36 this month 🙂 First time for me!
So funny, I was going to start a thread with the same question. Sometimes when I’m on a bride-to-be website or reading a wedding magazine, I feel, well, just old. And I’m “only” 37! To me, waiting to find the right person to marry is the most important thing, no matter what age that may happen! So, cheers to us!!
I’m 39, first time bride, and loving the whole planning process. A few “Oh, really? You’re having a DJ? Such a formal to-do?” HELL YES! I’ve been waiting for the right guy for this long, and still want the dream wedding!
LOL, Iswim…I will also be a first time bride at 45! My birthday is in November… do I win? LOL!!!
I am 35 and will be 36 when we get married. We meet when i was 28
so we have been together for a while
I love this thread! It’s so refreshing to see all you “older” ladies with younger men. I will be 38 at our wedding, and Fiance will be 28. Only marriage for both of us. Like a lot of you, I was at the point where I thought it just wasn’t in the cards for me, and then there he was. The most amazing man I’ve ever known! I will admit, I resisted for a bit because of the age difference, but he’s an old soul, and I feel so much younger than I am. And people think I look 10 years younger…there’s always shock when they find out how old I am. I have gotten the cougar comment, which I hate, but he pursued me, so there. 😉
We’re combining households in a few weeks and I’ll admit to being quite nervous about the transition. I’ve been on my own for a looooong time, and I’m pretty persnickety, but I’m just so excited to be with him. We’ve been in an LDR for a year and a half, and I just can’t wait to go to sleep with him every night and wake up to him every morning.
Fist time, I am 39 and I am marrying the same man I have lived with for 20 years and also my first boyfriend. I am as excited as a 20 year old! Also doing everything to turn the clock a bit in a effort to resemble a wedding that was supposed to happen so long ago…congratulations to all!
35 now, but will be 36 by the time we get married next year, first timer over here too!
OH! and Fiance is younger too, he’ll be 34 when we get married 🙂
My Fiance and I are the same ages as Mrs.DG. and her Fiance. I’ll be 38 at the wedding, my spouse will be 27. Crazy, wildly, madly in love.
Hah! I win! I will be 47 when I get married for the first time in December! My groom is 38, and it’s his second marriage. I am LOVING the older-women-marrying-much-younger-men trend I’m seeing on this thread! LOL
