did you get any replies or pics?  I’m thinking of ordering from them as well.  It’s either them or Jasmines Bridal Shop.

I ordered from Phoebe Bridal on December 17th. I had been in contact with them for over 3 months, with pricing, sizing, ect. I originally thought I was going to get my Bridesmaid or Best Man dresses from them, but the girls decided they wanted the new dresses from David’s Bridal.

With that said, Phoebe Bridal was a recommendation to me from a family friend of ours. She bought her God-daughters dress from there and they were very surprised at the quality of the dress and for the price.

With the holidays and my busy work schedule, I found it hard to get the measurements into their email address difficult. Especially with the deadline Phoebe stated I needed to get the information into their shop, so that they can begin working on the dress. Since they are in China, they have a few ‘long’ holiday breaks that pretty much no one in China works. I was supposed to have the dress measurements to them by November 19th.

To my surprise, on January 21st, my dress came to me.

My inspiration was the Justin Alexander 9552 from 2006/7. Since it is Phoebe’s version of the dress, it is not 100% like the Justin Alexander, which would be illegal to do… I’m quite happy with this dress.

    What you get for $400:

    • Dress (lined, inside support strap, potential bustle hook)
    • bolero/jacket (which didn’t fit, but they are sending me a new one in 4 weeks, no questions asked)
    • full petticoat
    • Shipping

The fabric in the inside is a soft, heavy-duty satin. The outside is taffeta with tulle. The designs at the bottom are stitched appliques, not lace. But they do have beading and sequins throughout, which was a surprise for me. I didn’t think that they would have done that detailed work on the dress, but it looks great in the pictures. It came with a hook under the dress ( I guess as a make-shift bustle). I will be adding my own bustle to it. The dress is an ivory color, which I sent over pictures for a more champagne color… But again, I didn’t ask for fabric swatches. It was a huge gamble for me, and I feel I came up a huge winner on this. I do have to say the dress is very well made. The dress itself is heavy, close to 20 lbs in all. The delivery woman said to watch my back because it was heavy… which was a huge shock. The woman who recommended the site to me said for me to buy the veil from a store. It was not worth getting the veil through Phoebe.

IF you are one that wants the exact fabric, and you have more than 6 months to order the dress, I would highly recommend that you order fabric swatches of the materials they carry. That way you know what to order. If you are still wary about ordering from Phoebe Bridal, then I would say spend the upcharge and buy your gown in the store.

They do more than just wedding dresses, so you have to be mindful of the Prom, Homecoming and holiday seasons.

I hope that this helps all of you that are looking to buy something that is affordable but still elegant looking.

I would not recommend this site.  I did not order my dress from them but did order a bolero jacket as I wanted to try and save a little money vs. the $300 price tag charged by the bridal shops. I communicated with Phoebe’s customer service multiple times. I explained that I wanted Alencon lace in a similar color and pattern to my dress. I sent photos of my dress, of similar styled jackets, close ups of the lace pattern etc. each time I reiterated Alencon lace similar to my dress pattern. Each time I was reassured that this would be no problem. Well, my jacket arrived today.  The quality of construction is nice but it is nothing like I asked. The flowers aren’t lace at all but simply embroidered on the fabric and it is covered with beads. Nothing I sent them even mentions wanting beads. I only spent $80 but it was a complete was of money as the jacket is completely unusable for my purposes. If you have any expectation of your item having a similar look and feel as the designers steer clear. I wish I had listened to the advise I read that said the same. I could have put the wasted money towards something I could actually use.
