We were in Jamaica, and he insisted on sailing a Hobie cat to a small island offshore, expecting it to be the perfect, private spot for a proposal. When we arrived, it was overrun with Jamaicans selling t-shirts, beer and fresh lobster, along with fellow resort guests. He decided to do it anyway, and managed to get a couple of those tourists to take these shots:
We didn’t get any pics of the actual proposal unfortunately, but we got some before and after shots. We went on a dinner and dancing boat cruise for Valentine’s Day this year and he popped the question on the top deck of the boat. Even though I picked out the ring (A black diamond), I was really surprised.
What a beautiful, emotion-filled thread! I have photos! I’ve posted my story
already but would LOVE to join this thread!
My Fiance planned with his buddies to be hiding at our spot on the beach. And since it was after dinner in the middle of winter, it was dark and I had NO idea they were there.
We went for a walk on the beach that night, and I remember the waves were so calm and the light reflecting in the water was dazzling. We held hands and walked together in the place that we really found each other. He had been kind of emotional that night but I thought it was because we were in our little spot in the world and we were talking about us and our beginnings. He kissed me and told me he loved me and asked me the single greatest question I could be asked: Will you marry me?
