He just proposed yesterday!!!!!! I am still sooooooo excited! I won’t go into the whole story here, but we got private access to a lighthouse where he surprised me with a scrapbook that he had been working on secretly at night filled with the exact dates of awesome day to day memories (such as a hilariously failed attempt at making home-made ice cream) that he had been recording for more than 2 years (just because they were memories he never wanted to forget!!). It was amazing, but so windy! Notice how I am holding onto my dress at all times. I love this guy.
My dad and I flew a lot when I was younger (he has his private pilot license) so my future husband surprised me on my birthday…his best friend is a pilot, so he rented a plane and got his mom to come and take pics. I was oblivious to the scheme. I thought the plane ride was just a fun birthday surprise, but he and his mom/brother spent days mowing and 48 cans spray painting a proposal in his uncle’s field which we flew over 🙂
So first he surprised me by flying to spend Christmas with me. I was out with my friend and my parents called me and told me they needed me to come home, and this is what I found…
He spent Christmas with my family, and a couple days later took me on this surprise carriage ride, which led to a gazebo, which had a bench with a book on it that he wrote about our relationship, and then he sang/played me a song he had written for me like 2 weeks before we started DATING, and then he proposed. His friend hid in a tree taking pictures of everything. It was absolutely perfect!
Although this is for photos of the engagement/ proposal I’m linking to a youtube video I put together. I put all of the pictures into the video. On HIS birthday he came to school and used my students to surprise me. It was the sweetest thing ever 🙂
(Also I’m new and haven’t mastered inserting pics into the post, but I can copy and paste a link! haha)
We went to Chicago for my birthday weekend. I had told him about how I had never been up to the Sear’s Tower (we are from the area) so he said we should go before we had to go to a show we had tickets for. The line was OUTRAGEOUS but he already had fast passes purchased and next thing I knew I was facing my biggest fear (heights, not marriage LOL) and he was down on one knee!!
