Yes my life improved every time I broke up with someone. Because things weren’t working and no one was happy. Being single is better than being in a relationship that isn’t working. Also I always learned more about myself and what I wanted and needed after each relationship, so over time I improved a great deal relationship wise and personal development wise.
More specific example of how breaking up worked for me.. was dating an ex for 6 months, who came on strong at the start and I pumped the brakes and asked him to slow down. But once I got serious, he went cold and distant (classic red flag when someone come on strong at the start, you should learn from that experience). I insisted on a breakup at 6 months or so despite his begging. A month or so later, met my husband online. And he was perfect for me. Been together almost 4 years now and just married. I could not be more thankful for that break up (imagine I may have missed the opportunity to meet husband if I stuck with that dead end relationship).
