I am currently 17w6d pregnant and one of my cats has been acting strange. My other cat is fine, but he is blind and doesn’t leave the bedroom much. The cat acting strange is lively and always wants to be around people and be cuddled. Well, for the past month or so she has been following me everywhere and she just sits and stares at me all the time. It is really strange. I go to bed about an hour before Darling Husband and she sits on his side of the bed and just stares at me. When I try to reach out and pet her, she backs away. When I do get ahold of her she purrs instantly and is cuddly, but she will just go right back to sitting and staring at me. She didn’t do this before and it is creeping me out a bit. she watches me when I cook or go to the bathroom and every time I get out of the shower, there she is waiting for me. Right now as I write this she is sitting on the floor right next to the couch staring up at me. Darling Husband thinks it is hilarious and has started calling her my little stalker.
Has anyone else experienced anything like this?

Awwww that is so sweet. I’m only 10 weeks now, and my cat seems to be a little more clingy with me…he is like my little shadow. If I get up, he gets up. If I go to the bathroom, he comes too. If I’m in the kitchen cooking, he’s at my feet. Right now I’m up early Saturday morning, and he is snuggled under the blanket next to me kneading my leg. No crazy staring though…that is too funny! They say animals can sense it, who knows!

I have two and they’re both extra sucky lately. One was to start, but now she likes to lay next to my belly and place a paw on it. It’s so sweet <3

My cat has taken to waking me up in the morning by kneeding me in the stomach and boobs. I can’t wait for the first time the baby kicks back.

My dog has always been a little clingy to me more than SO, so I haven’t really noticed anything yet at 18+ weeks. Sometimes he’ll try to put his head on my belly but I have to push him off after a couple minutes.

My dog and cat are glued to me lately they both try to fit into my lap and stay right with me all day!

I’m in a TWW right now, but things are looking positive. My kitty has been snuggling my tummy a lot lately! He normally likes to lay next to me in my “leg nook”, but lately he’s all about the stomach! Maybe he knows something I don’t?

My dog is more clingy now then before he comes and lays down right on my lap. Every where I go he follows.

Yes. My cat wants to sleep on my belly much more than normal. I think my dog might be oblivious.

My puppy was acting like a lunatic in my first tri, but I think she’s used to it now, because she’s basically normal again. Or maybe I’m just used to it now!

I wish my cat would indicate she had a clue, but not really! I’ve had her for 5 years since she was a baby and we are very close. She is a bit of a diva and a little devil and we are concerned if she can co exist with the twins we are expecting.
Everyday I hope to see some sign that she’s tuned into something going on. I’m 12 weeks on Wednesday. I’m just started to notice changes in my shape. It’s a little weird as I’ve never expected to show so soon but with two babies on there…weird things are happening!
my cat normal sleeps at my feet…sometimes she will pay me a closer visit and lay on my torso or by my head and purr away. I’ve turned into a side sleeper as my lower back has been kliking me, last night, twice, she curled up in front of my belly and kneaded at it. Very strange! but I’m betting a fluke…perhaps dhe to the change in my sleep position. But time will tell.

I am 8 weeks right now and my cat totally knows. He is to love bug and has to be all over Darling Husband or I. He doesn’t care where he stands, he just needs cuddles. This weekend though he has started being gentle to me. He avoids standing on my stomach, instead he lays in my lap and rests his head on my tummy as if he is listening to the baby. 🙂

My brother has a very playful, jumpy boxer, who normally jumps up on me whenever I go to visit. Since we got pregnant, he still gets very excited to see me, but won’t jump on me. He still jumps up with everyone else though!

I think animals have a sense about the pregnancy. My stepmom’s dog who usually doesn’t like to be cuddled, climbs in my lap every time I’m at their house. And so does my MIL’s dog and she hates everyone! It’s kind of freaky but also pretty cool
