So, I tried on a bunch of dresses for the first time today. Nicole Miller, Monique Lhuillier Bliss, and Pronovias. Nicole Miller was soooo flattering to my figure, but I can’t help but feel they didn’t have the drama I was looking for.
My fiance and I liked the Pronovias Fuente the best so far. Anyway, did any of you try on this style or actually get married it? What do you think? Are there similar styles by different designers that you might recommend?
Pros: I loved the shape, the train, the drama. The single strap with rosettes was very glamourous.
Minuses: Not crazy about the fabric. The ruching or layering through the bodice (not sure exactly what you would call it) made it seem like it might add inches. And while I liked it a lot, I didn’t leave the store feeling sure that it was THE DRESS. Also, there was no beading. Lastly,I lean towards fit and flare, and this style is more on the “ball gown” side.
Unfortunately most of the stores didn’t allow me to take photos.
