After pondering for a long time between Cancun and Puerto Vallarta, I decided on Vallarta to have my destination wedding. I’m very excited! However, I wanted your help. What resort would you recommend? Or should I hire a wedding coordinator?
So far, only two resorts have responded my queries: Marival and Casa Velas (both all inclusive resorts). Casa Velas gave a quote of $4,624 for 40 guests. The package includes dinner, symbolic receptions, 4 hr full bar, bridal bouquet and buttonerie for the groom. Is this reasonable? Has anyone stayed at Casa Velas?

@Ms_Destination Wedding_bee: Did you end choosing your location yet? Fiance and I stayed at Marival last May and loooved it. We just got engaged and are honestly considering a destination wedding. I’d love to hear your thoughts.

Yes, I did! And it’s not Puerto Vallarta or Cancún. I went for a more colonial venue and picked Terraza Trinitate in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico.
Destination weddings are not for every couple. It’s usually are more intimate type of wedding. Some of your family members or friends will not be able to go, but you have to stick to your ground if that’s what you really want. Some people will try to discourage you, but don’t let them deter you from your dream wedding. Study all your options and take your time to find the perfect resort that offers the best service.
I haven’t been to Punta Mita Iberostar, but it’s a brand new resort and they offer great prices. You should check it out!!
