- Wedding: February 2014 - Kentucky Center for the Performing Arts
My main colors are plum, ivory, gray, which are the colors for the bridal party. For the reception I have a choice between white or black tablecloths. I was going to pick black at first. But someone mentioned that with my head table centerpieces that I DYIed, it would create a dark room as the chairs are also black. So I am unsure at this point. My napkins are eggplant/plum. I am trying to accent with silver even though I have other decor that is white also. I just think I am over thinking it!

I’m the bride with the purple explosion wedding lol…. I had the same kinda purple for my main colour…. a couple of the pics have a pinky tinge cause they were adjusting the lighting while she was in taking pictures…. we had 2 diff tablecloths, one was sparkly and one was dark purple with this pretty design…. we were gonna do black but he showed me those and LOVED them… the black also looked awesome (not too dark) he showed me another wedding he did that used them, and it was a nice contrast! Its actually quite funny, I used the same pics (cake and bm flowers) as my inspiration to show my florist and the venue coord what “purple” I wanted lol

My wedding colours were pinks and purples, my BMs wore a gorgeous lilac type colour, the GMs wore a matching lilac satin cravat. Our bouquets had pink and purple and white through them. Even my mum and nan got in on the colour scheme :). I found the colour purple I chose went really well with the steel grey suits of the guys

I’m doing plum, ivory and gold, so its a more vintage look than what you’re going for.
There are a lot of photo ideas on here for inspiration:

My wedding was purple, mostly soft purples with ivory. I didn’t have a wedding party but my sisters and sister-in-laws each wore different shades of purple in their choice of dress. Great color choice!

My theme was lavender/black/ivory. My girls wore classic black bridesmaid dresses. They carried fresh lavender bundles and it turned out perfectly.

I am doing black/white damask with purple accents over tables have white table cloths with half the tables having damask overlay and and half having black overlays with white chair covers and black sashes our center pieces are purple and our china black and white with purple napkins. Since I started shopping for stuff I realized how hard it is to match the purples so we will have diffrent shades of purple through out.
