I’ve stumbled upon a “raw-vegan” dessert snack. It’s delicious. Chop up some ripe bananas, and throw them in the freezer. Take out a cup or two, and toss them into the blender, along with a teaspoon of vanilla extract. Does honey count for vegan? I don’t know…. but you can use some honey for flavor.

Anyway, the consistency is soft-serve ice cream after you’ve blended the banana. You can add blue berries, or other fruit for some flavor. Yum!!!

foodgawker.com has a good amount of raw vegan recipes too. I use it frequently b/c Darling Husband is highly allergic to milk/milk products, and many of the vegan items I found are delicious! Also, if you’re not sure about honey being vegan (from what I understand, honey is shunned b/c it’s made by bees, making it an animal product) then try agave nectar. It’s a little thinner than honey and it’s delicious!

Check out the Forks Over Knives cookbook.  I don’t know if you’ve seen the documentary but it’s excellent.  The cookbook has over 300 recipes.  I’m not totally vegan, but I LOVE it!

I’m going to message you the link

@StuporDuck:  Honey is a no-no for vegans (bee’s made it!).

One of my favorite raw vegan people is Kristen Suzanne.  She has a ton of books with recipes and has a blog with lots of inspiration: http://kristensraw.com/blog/
