So…The gal doing my hair the other day asked if I was going to have extensions? I said no, I love this hairstyle on me, and long hair has never been “me.” But that got me thinking, I haven’t seen a lot of brides with short hair. I thought surely there are plenty so I googled it. The ones I’m finding online all look they’re straight out of the 80’s/early 90’s. Does anyone have any pics of themselves or other brides with a short bob? I have already bought a tiara and I may or may not wear a veil.
This is pretty much what my hair looks like now. Except the sides are more even.

I’m wearing my hair in a short bob for my wedding. This isn’t an actual wedding photo, but to give you an idea:

Here are some links. If you want to do something interesting, get a attention-grabbing hairpiece or birdcage veil, or get some highlights in your hair.

Okay, I hear you:) My hair was a bob only slightly longer than yours and this is what my hairdresser did. I was kinda not happy with the front because I wanted it smoother but she did a great job with the back (I thought anyway:) But if you want your hair down, I would suggest some larger, modern barrel curls. I saw a bride on one of those shows (Four Weddings maybe) and she had a similar cut to yours and her hair looked fab.
But you do not need extensions to make it look special and pretty. Whatever you do though, I think a little Ooomph is important for the wedding day:)

Sorry these were taken with my cell phone. I did this by accident and loved how it turned out. I curled my hair for work and had some extra time to play with it. I pulled the sides up and pinned with bobby pins.
I’m DIY my wedding hair.

Here are two inspiration picture I had saved in case I wanted to chop my hair.

Thanks for all the suggestions, guys 🙂
What do you think about this? I think I could do this with my hair. Now I’m just wishing I’d bought a birdcage or pretty comb or headband.
I don’t think I’d want to wear my tiara with my hair like this, but I could play with it a bit. I wonder if my dress store (where I bought my dress, bm dresses, tuxes, and all accessories) would let me exhange the tiara I bought for one of their headbands or combs. hmm… Thoughts?

Yeah, I agree with you I wouldn’t wear the tiara with a hairdo like the one you just posted. Definitely would ask the store to exchange it!! Hopefully they will (but some places can be so rude about it)
I like that hair style, but it’s very retro, will it fit into your theme and match your dress? If so I say that’s a great look!

I have short hair (doesn’t touch my shoulders) At my hair trail, the stylist was able to pin it in such a way that it looked as though I had longer hair in an up-do. It’s amazing what they can do!
I’d post a pic but it keeps posting sideways even after I rotate it…dunno

I like your birdcage veil, but I didn’t have the confidence to pull that off. I went with a comb, which I gave to my florist – she used baby callas matched my FI’s bout.
