I applied sometime in October (after returning from an international trip and getting my name changed) and my application has not been processed yet.

Not exactly related but I recently applied to sentri which is to cross borders and it was conditionally approved. I applied last year and it took only a few weeks for a response. I’m sure they have a lot more global entries but i don’t think it would take too long

I applied (3 applications for husband and son too) Nov 2018 before the shut down and it was all approved by beginning of Feb.  They don’t email you when its approved too, i just happen to randomly notice it was ready for next step when i decided to log in and check.  I doubt any delay has to do with the shutdown at this point.

I applied in May 2019, then got my interview request in November. In January I had my interview (that was the earliest that was available in my area) and I was finally accepted.

While I waited months, I read up on why it was taking so long and they’re apparently still backed up from the government shut down and the crisis at the border. *shrug* Hopefully my experience isn’t typical and they process yours sooner, because it definitely sucked waiting.

Not in 2020 but my husband and I applied last year on the same day at the same time and he got his conditional approval 6 weeks later and I didn’t get mine for another 3 months. I don’t think there’s any way to tell how long it will take, or if someone else has already gotten theirs it doesn’t necessarily mean you will get yours soon

I applied last year for my baby a few months after the shut down. The conditional approval happened pretty fast if I remember right, but it was impossible to schedule an interview locally…all the places within an hour drive of us had no appointments available for the foreseeable future. I ended up dropping by the closest global entry place to do my name change (you don’t need an interview appt for that) and brought my baby with me, and the agent was kind enough to do her interview on the spot …otherwise we might still be waiting 🙄. Effing shut down …

emilyofnewmoon :  Oh yeah, my baby got his super fast too, i think it was within 3 or 4 weeks.  We’re in Boston area, so we were lucky that they had a ton of interview spots.  We could have had one as soon as a 2 weeks after we were all approved, but waited 2 months for nicer weather and a Friday to make a small city trip out of it since we didn’t have any trips within that time anyways.
