No recommendations…  but I am jealous…. I want to go there soo bad, but it’s just too expensive.  It’s like $6500-7000 and only breakfast is included 🙁 boo.  I’ll have to try find another place w/ an overwater bungalow b/c I want one of those BAD too Cool

I’ll have to look.  All inclusive is a must-have for us!

@artichokesalad: My husband and I stayed in Bora Bora for our honeymoon, which was amazing. Pretty much all of the resorts are going to be nice there but we stayed in the =Bora Bora Nui Hilton resort. They had a lot of activities and tours you could sign up for (for a price), some free activities (kayaking, snorkeling to name two), and resort events such as vollyeball, cooking classes, etc. They have a really beautiful spa area but we had already did our spa treatment in Tahiti so didn’t try it out. They provide a free shuttle that goes to the small town and it only takes 5-10 minutes: make sure to check out the store Bora Bora Home when you’re in town- they have beautiful local jewelry made from mother of pearl and tahitian pearls, as well as some more affordable items. The owner, who is French but speaks great english, is really nice.

You should call and ask their availability for the over water bungalows just because the HIlton also provides bungalows that are in the mountainside. My fiance was originally looking at going to the Sofitel, which also looked really nice, but the travel agent we worked with said that the Hilton was a better value (at least for when we were going) and was recently refurbished anyway.

By The Way, Moorea might be slightly more affordable just because there are more flights going to Moorea from Tahiti. There are also more resorts there, so perhaps the prices are more competetitive. I would look into it comparing prices between Bora Bora and Moorea just in case.

My hubby and I stayed at the Hilton in Moorea. It was definitley more affordable than Bora Bora. The hotel was amazing….views to die for, but things while you are there, activities, food, etc. is EXPENSIVE! We went into it knowing that, but the prices still amazed us. Dont let that scare you off though, it is a once in a lifetime trip and sooo worth it!

PS the over water bungalows are the best…we heard a few complaints from couples who got the beach bungalows. There are alot of roosters that make a ton of noise on the beach in the morning! Just an FYI! GOOD LUCK!

I just booked our honeymoon to Moorea and Bora Bora.  We are staying at the Sofitel.  The reason we decided on this resort was because it was a better value at the  time that we are going.  They have a multiple island deal which helps.  We were originally looking at the hilton, but we wouldn’t be able to get an overwater bungalow.  That was a must for us so we went with the Sofitel.

I booked in August for our moorea/bora bora Honeymoon in June. I booked through Pacific For Less…got great prices and great perks! We’ll be staying at Hilton Moorea and 4Seasons Bora Bora. We can’t wait! Definitely a trip of a lifetime! And worth every penny! Keep us posted on what you decide..
