We are thinking about having a wedding in Rehoboth Beach as we have a summer house there. Would love some recommendations on venues, photographers, everything! Not looking to get married on the beach, but somewhere with a nice ocean or bay view.

I’m getting married in Rehoboth next September! We’re getting married in a church (although don’t know which one yet) and then having the reception at our beach club. We looked at a bunch of places. The Indian River Lifesaving Station was definitely one of my favorites. It’s beautiful and unique and on the beach without actually being on it, if that makes sense. I know it books up quickly though. I didn’t check out Salero, which is the restaurant on top of the Henlopen Hotel but I know they do weddings and you’d have a nice view of the ocean. I’m pretty sure there’s a couple places in Dewey that do receptions but I’m not sure which ones. And if you can find someone who belongs to the Lewes Yacht Club or the Rehoboth Country Club to sponsor you, both have nice views.
I’m still finding all of my other vendors but I’d recommend looking at Make My Day Events because they have pictures of a bunch of different venues in/around Rehoboth and it gave me a lot of great ideas. Hope that helps!

Baywood is an amazing place to have a wedding. We also have a place in Rehoboth and considered having our wedding down there, but decided we would have it where Fiance and I live instead. We definitely would have had our wedding here. It is not too far from Rehoboth. Hope this helps!

@habc2014: Thanks for all the info. We looked at Salero this weekend and we are going to book it! Now to find the rest of the vendors!! Let me know if you have any recommendations!(Photographer, cake, flowers)
I think we are going to book rooms at Avenue Inn and Hotel Rehoboth for the guests (we have a house at Canal Pointe). That is all we have planned so far!

@HappyInLove11: Congrats on booking it! I just met with 2 photographers – Angie Moon & Keith Mosher. Both of them were wonderful and it’s going to be hard to choose. Keith gave off a really great laid back vibe that I loved. Angie was much more intent on what I wanted out of the wedding and photography. She asked a lot more questions about what our wedding would be like. She also had some great suggestions. It seems like both of them do a lot of work around the Rehoboth area.
I think we’re actually doing cupcakes instead of cake and we’re hoping to book with Cake Break in Rehoboth. I think they might do cakes as well. I’ve had their cupcakes and they are so good. http://www.cakebreakrehoboth.com/
I think we’re doing our own flowers but Bayberry Flowers was one that was recommended to me by several other vendors http://www.bayberryflowers.net/
Have you checked out Avenue Inn and Hotel Rehoboth?? I’m trying to figure out where to block rooms for our guests as well and I have no idea. My family has a house in Henlopen Acres so I’ve never been in any of the hotels! haha

@habc2014: Love Angie’s pics!! We have been looking at Rob Korb and Escudero for photography but we may give Angie a call, thanks!
We have a tasting set up with Cake Break for cupcakes on Sunday! Their cupcakes are adorable!
We did 3 of our 4 hotels so far. We have Avenue Inn, Beach View and Henlopen Hotel (which we are only blocking since the wedding is at Salero). Our 4th is Hotel Rehoboth, we are just waiting for Melanie to get back to us. All the hotels have been really great about the room blocks. Avenue Inn is beautiful and they have a spa. Im pretty sure Im going to stay there the night before the wedding since Fiance will be at our house. Hotel Rehoboth is obviously a great choice as well. Beach View isnt quite as nice but very reasonable. We wanted to give a wide price range for the guests to choose from. For all 4 the range is $99-$250, most with a min of 2 nights required.
To be honest, I went on tripadvisor and picked the top 3-4 hotels and that is what we used! (plus henlopen) 🙂
Let me know how things go and Ill keep you posted as well!!
