I have seen rings like that called a pointed halo and also a floral halo (but then some floral halos are rounded too) but I am unaware if the style has it’s own name.

I can’t recommend where to buy the stone from as I opted for a sapphire, but there are plenty of moissy pros on the Bee. However, I highly recommend reaching out David Klass to craft a custom ring. He’s amazing and I can’t stress that enough. He works with moissanite and you will need to ship him the stone. Please browse through all the wonderful posts on the Bee re: his rings, to check out his work. He’s always very reasonably priced so do ask for a quote. You won’t regret it!

P.S. I think this is called a floral halo as PPs suggested. It also reminds me of the princess Di/ Kate Middleton ring a little.

I would say floral halo with oval center then nobody could misunderstand…. Either way it is gorgeous! I have a friend who has a ring just like it with a diamond center, it is stunning! She purshased her’s preloved in an antique shop

To look at moissy in person I’d highly recommend The True Gem Company based out of Dallas Texas. They do custom work as well, so I’m sure they could easily reproduce the one you’ve fallen in love with, if you so chose to go with them. My own engagement ring is from them and I just adore it!

I’ve also heard amazing things about David Klass. Ive actually been chatting with him back and forth designing I right hand ring I’d like made at some point, and he’s been fantastic!

I second The True Gem! They’re in DFW and from what I’ve heard they’re great to work with. If you don’t wanna go the local route I also suggest David Klass. He can’t source the moissanite, but you can send it to him to be set.

As far as moissanite vendors, the options are endless! I’ve heard good things about Harro crushed ice ovals, and ZAYA from JHollywood if you don’t like crushed ice. There are so many choices, it can be overwhelming but this site is full of helpful info and great people! 🙂

I agree with PP’s too, floral halo would be my description as well. Good luck and let us know what you decide! It’s a beautiful ring!

I live in DFW as well! I went with David Klass for my custom reset, he was fantastic to work with and the craftsmanship even convinced my SIL to reset her ring as well. I just saw it this past weekend and it was beautiful, exactly what I expected from him.
