Also, my invitations – to set a rustic tone I am going to use brown bag material envelopes, wrap the invitations in raffia (the material on the cake above) & use white calligraphy. The blue matches our Bridesmaid or Best Man dresses.

Some more rustic inspiration:
Mason Jar Place Cards
Instead of place cards – we are doing this but on a chalkboard
Love burlap – we are doing burlap runners

msvano0: Love the apple theme – I wish I was getting married in the fall! I’m getting married in August but if it was in Oct. I totally would have incorporated apples!

Checking in! Also a rustic theme in the works. More of a backyard 1930s vintagesque feel. Burlap and lace galore! Could use some help with colors if its okay to post my question here? Thanks!!

@stephbonthego: Love the burlap and lace! Sounds fun and pretty! There are so many places you can add the burlap and lace splashes here and there. 🙂 Hope you have fun coming up with ideas. And I’m sure all the bees will be happy to help.

This thread is just full of pretty!!
OP, have you checked out ruffledblog.com or labellebride.com? They are two f my favorite inspiration sites. And of course, Pinterest!
My fiance and I are going to look at venues tomorrow, and I hope we find something we can decorate so beautifully 🙂 Wish us luck!

Another rustic/vintage bride here! Lots of burlap, lace and mason jars going on in our household at the moment 🙂 I’m on my work computer so I can’t post pics, darn it, but I have Fiance and Bridesmaid or Best Man bouts done, they are a spinoff of SMP’s button and burlap bout, only I did mine with tiny green silk hydrangeas instead of buttons.
I’m also doing mason jars wrapped in burlap and hanging on shepherd’s hooks (Dollar Tree find, SCORE!!), filled with roses. Also found some vintage-y double-sided 12×12 scrapbook paper on clearance for $.48/sheet, so I’ve cut them in quarters and made cones to use for our rose petals to throw – so cute!
Fiance doesn’t like cake, so we are doing cheesecake in three different flavors (he proposed with the ring in a piece of cheesecake, so it’s extra-special), and instead of a groom’s cake, my mom is baking apple pies (she’s famous for them), since they are FI’s favorite.
I know it’s still over a year away, but I’m sooo excited, and looking at y’alls pictures is NOT helping me be patient :))
