I miss diving!  I ruptured an eardrum flying last year though, so it’s out for me from now on. 🙁

I did Key Biscayne a few years back, which was wonderful.  Yes, I like to stay close to home.

Darling Husband and I are both divers.

I got certified while living in CA.  The cold kelp forests are a huge change from the Carribean but they’re very neat if you want something different.

Darling Husband and I dove in Cozumel last November and took a week long trip down to Bonaire this past May which was AWESOME!  I highly recommend Bonaire.

I’m so excited about our trip for next summer.  We are sailing from Miami to the Bahamas and back on a 104-foot sailboat and diving all along the way.

I LOVE the Cayman Islands the best.  They have the 2nd best reef system in the world (next to Australia’s) but WITHOUT box jellyfish and great white sharks!!!!

I prefer Little Cayman to Grand Cayman.  But Little Cayman is much more barren and the focus is on diving rather than “fun”. I think the Cayman Islands as all the fun without the issues – few sharks, few jellies, EXTREMELY responsible and focused dive shops.

I found the operations in Riveria Maya to be way to “laid back” for me – like not giving you info about the dive site, on one trip they didn’t even have us sign in or count before we got in the water.  I don’t think they are as careful.  I may be more high maintenace about that stuff though – because that didn’t bother my sister.

My sister has been to Bonaire & Honduras and said it was almost as good as Cayman.

I went to Aruba in Feb – for a myriad of reasons I didn’t dive, but I did snorkel and that was amazing.  I can’t imagine how good the diving would have been!  If I were planning a trip right now I might go to curaco.

I’m leaving for a dive trip today!  Channel Islands off of Southern California.  Hopefully we’ll get to hit up one of the local sea lion rookeries, which are a BLAST!

I’ve been lucky to dive to some amazing places.  Southern California, Baja, Galapagos, Bahamas, the Keys, and Papua New Guinea.

Bucket list: Papua New Guinea & the Galapagos again, Indonesia, Hawaii, Palau, Australia, and the Sardine trip in South Africa.

We dove down in Turks & Caicos last Christmas. Not only is TCI a great place to visit, but the dives we did were amazing. We dove with Dive Provo off the coast of West Caicos. I highly recommend TCI and Dive Provo. It was such a great trip!

We not only got advance certified in Key Largo we got engegaged there last month so my heart always brings me back there.  Diving the Keys is great, we did a couple a wreck dives that were awesome.

We got certified in the Caymans and would go back in a heart beat.  We stayed at The Reef on Grand Cayman’s east end.

Lastly our potential wedding/honeymoon location is http://www.turnefferesort.com/ in Belize!  I’m very excited about this, I hope the diving there is as good as everyone says it is.
