I’m posting in hope of getting some inspiration from you ladies, since I am at a loss. I need wedding shoes, but I don’t have the faintest idea of what I want, so it’s difficult to look.
A few details to help:
– The shoes are for the reception, so I need to be able to dance in them. I have all intentions of walking down the aisle barefoot (shh… don’t tell my mother!).
– My dress is ivory (very close to white, though).
-My wedding colors are green and gold, with dark purple (think crayola purple), as an accent color.
– I don’t like really high heels (like over 2 inches) or flip-flops.
I don’t really “do” shoes – I own maybe 5 pairs total (including 2 pairs of sneakers), so this is completely out of my realm of experience. Please suggest some ideas! Even just suggestions for colors or styles would be a help at this point.

@LadyBear: Would you be open to the idea of a fun pair of toms or even sneakers to go with your dress? It’s been done!
What does your dress look like?

@Jacqui90: That first pair is cute!
@pengoala: Maybe? Do you know where I might find pictures to get a better idea?

Wear flats! Or whatever you want, really. People don’t see your shoes unless you want them to. I wore flats.
I went to a wedding in May where on their way out of the ceremony, the bride lifted her dress up high so everyone could see her running shoes. It was funny, and very her, but nobody had any idea until she showed us.

I’m loving the gold shoes! Keep ’em coming, ladies.
