I am a singer/songwriter/pianist, and I was just wondering if there are any other singers or musicians out there! Do you guys write your own music? Who inspires you? Anyone voally trained professionally?
Those of you who ARE singers I bet have either Youtube videos/recordings of yourselves singing. If you do, I am going to DARE you to post them! Double dog dare! I would love to hear follow bees’ talent!

Oh, you mean professional singers… I just sing for my own enjoyment and I like to think I’m good, but I’m scared that I’m like those people on “American Idol,” although I have taken *some* voice lessons. I’m sorry I have no video or soundbites. Also, I have some verses strung together, but no real songs yet worth mentioning. So yeh, kind of pathetic in that department. ๐ How did you decide to pursue music? Is that your actual career? If so, I’m jealous of your guts!!

I sing : ) Not professionally or anything, just in churches, school plays and for the fun of it. I guess I’m good at it. I took voice lessons for 4 years and I was in my high school choir for just as long. I still like to sing, but now it’s mostly to myself, or the animals. They don’t seem to mind : )
I don’t have any recording though, or youtube videos…

My fiance writes/record music, and we both like to sing, though it’s just for fun. We’ve never had voice lessons. I’ve been in some form of a choir since the 8th grade, and now I help direct the church choir. Fiance is actually going to practice with a band tonight, they’re thinking about adding him on keys. ๐

I sing in a show chorus ,and I’m a director. I went to music school out of college. I don’t do this professionally, but we do get paid, so I guess it is semi-professional.
I don’t think we have any of our music on YouTube because we are very careful about ASCAP fees and things like that. I will check, though!

I do. ๐ I have always been a singer and songwriter but I never went anywhere with it because I HATE performing. ๐ I have incredible stage fright.
Heatherrobyn do you have any videos of you singing? I’d love to hear you.
I can share my old myspace music account if anyone wants to hear….

I sing!! I was going to school for theatre but I chickened out and ended up switching majors.
I studied voice with the same teacher that Josh Groban studied voice with when he went to Carnegie Mellon University. He only went to CMU for 4 months, that is because Josh was offered a recording contract and my voice coach told him to leave school and do it now.
I haven’t sang in a few years but I am trying to get back in action, I really want to sing the National Anthem at Console Energy Arena (where the Pittsburgh Penguins play.)

I sing and write music. No youtube videos b/c I don’t like singing in public. I sing when I “have” to..like when I am trying to explain how a song I have written should be performed or at church (thanks mom). It’s a family “thing”. I actually have a sister who has recorded some songs and currently has one available for purchase on itunes. For her, it’s a passion. For me, it’s a talent that I have but don’t really do a whole lot with.

I sing whenever I get the chance. I’ve never had any formal training, but I do have perfect pitch so I guess that helps. I’ve sung in choirs and I do a ton of musical theatre. Just wrapped up a Gilbert and Sullivan show this past weekend, singing Buttercup in H.M.S. Pinafore.
I also play the piano, and I compose a little as well. Nothing on YouTube yet, but maybe someday.
