it is differnt and kinda intresting, not a life style I would chosse. I think Robin bugs me the most because sometimes she says things and when I think she just needs to keep quite. but I think its kinda an intresting show to look at a model of non traditional family. I love the realtionship the women have with each other, and with all the kids. I didnt like the episope tonight who cares what people he hasnt seen in 20 years care about his lifestly… (I hope that the show stays real, unlike other shows on the network after a few seasons they seem to become staged and go on vacation too much)

I love sister wives! Im obsessed with reading/watching/learning about polygamy. Its so fascinating to me. I was so happy that when Big Love ended sister wives was on so I didn’t have to give up my weekly dose of polygamy lol. I dont know how they handle it – Im such a jealous person, I would NEVER share. But I really like watching the show!!

I love Sister Wives too 🙂 I think it’s fascinating. Last night’s episode made me so angry. I couldn’t believe how outright rude his “friend” was and how well they all responded. I think I would have punched him in the face. Seriously, what happens behind closed doors in someone else’s bedroom is no one else’s business (so long as they’re legally consenting adults 😉 ), grrrrr.

I have to ask though, why the heck don’t they get a big van or something like the Duggars and drive together rather than driving 4 cars to one place, it’s ridiculous. And why the eff does Kody INSIST on that ridiculous little sports car?! He looks like such a knob in it, and it’s completely useless in their life. That really irritated me last night, lol!!!

@Goodatlove: I agree with you, I could never share my husband!! And you know, I really have to wonder how unhealthy it is to be sleeping with that many people. I guess if no one has STDs or anything like that you’d be ok, but it just weirds me out. Do any of the wives work outside of the home? If not, how in the world can the husband afford all these people??

I used to watch the show a few times, but it didn’t hold my interest. I am not knocking the lifestyle, I think if everyone is ok with it, great. I just don’t see how it works. That man has got to go crazy sometimes going from house to house!

It’s my dirty little secret show too… Embarassed

I can’t even imagine sharing my hubby with anybody else. I would have to be brought up that way from birth to think that is normal. But then again, I don’t know how long I would like to keep up with it because as I can tell from the show, the wives are jealous of each other and each does wish deep down inside that Cody was theirs only. These persons were brought up in this faith to think this way and yet they feel a sting about sharing their hubby. That should tell ya something….

As for the gay couple argument. They gay couple is a COUPLE at the end of the day. They love and share their love with only each other Not with multiple partners. That doesn’t make it right or wrong. I am stating that just so you know that it is like comparing apples and oranges.

@MrsSl82be: Yup,  a couple of the wives worked outside the home. One lost her job after the show started to air, and they all ended up leaving their jobs when they had to move.

Im also fascinated with the show. Like others, I could never live that lifestyle, but the seem happy and their kids seem happy so more power to them.

@Bostongrl25: gotcha. Do you know why they moved? And what he does for work?

I think the moved because they were being investigated and they were afraid their family would be broken up/arrested. It was actually really sad. So they pakced up some stuff and moved to Nevada. I’m not sure what he did for work, I think he mentioned sales at one point? Him and Janelle seemed to be the breadwinners of the family. I am amazed that they can afford a family that size, and they seem to live comfortably.

@MrsSl82be: 3 of the wives work, 1 of them is a Stay-At-Home Mom taking care of the kids, etc. They just moved to Nevada though, so Kody and a couple of the wives are becoming real estate agents.

@Bostongrl25: Agreed, their kids seem more well rounded than most other kids I’ve seen! LOL!

@Bostongrl25: They’re becoming real estate agents (I think him and at least 2 of the wives, if not 3) in Nevada. I’m also assuming they’re getting paid a decent sum for doing the show. I can’t imagine putting your lifestyle in the public eye and going through as much risk as they have for free!

@MrsSl82be: He used to be in advertising, but now they are getting into selling real estate. They moved because the city/state was doing an investigation on them and there was a big risk of Kody going to prison and/or the entire family being forced to split up.

I really enjoy watching this show as well. I love the wives and the dynamics between them all, but I really don’t care for Kody at all. Like a PP said, I don’t know how he scored all these women!

I could never do what they do, so I just find it fascinating to watch and see how it all plays out.

@bakerella: I didn’t think about the fact that they are getting paid by the show. I guess that does help out!  I assume polygamy is legal in Nevada then?

I love this show, even though some of them get on my nerves (ahem . . . Kody and Robin).

I am really sorry to fans of this show, but both my fiancé and I find this show utterly disgusting…I would never be happy in a relationship like that, and I don’t think any self-respecting woman would either….it’s like, “Gee, I’m not good enough to be number one today, so I guess I’ll be number four instead.” Really?
