we decided on June because it works out with my work schedule, I’m a teacher. However, a lot of our friends have gotten married in April and may and they were gorgeous, especially the ones in April. It’s usually not too hot, humid yet, and there is a light breeze. May can get a little risky because it can either be gorgeous or extremely humid.

@gabbytenille:  April or May would be good! I live just outside of Hilton Head and our temps are starting to hit the 60-70 range. I’m on the beach every year on Easter 🙂

That is a tough one, because both of those months are very rainy. Early April is still a little cold, then things are getting towards summer temperatures by the end of May. I would go with whichever one is less expensive/ works for your schedule/venue. :]

By the way I lived most of my life about an hour from Spartanburg in Columbia, so that is what I am referencing. In my experience the climates on the coast are pretty different from mid or even up-state.

Late April or early May.  Early April weather can be unpredictable.  Mid April is when taxes are due (April 15.)  Late May is Memorial Day Weekend and so hot!  Find out when your potential venues are available and then solidify your date based on their availability.

We selected late October through early November due to the weather and holidays (we would have loved a Halloween wedding!) but we ended up with November 2 because that was when our venue was available during that time period.

I’m from Columbia, SC and I would vote for late April or early May. But honestly, with the way that the weather has been the last few years, it’s kind of hard to predict what it will be like a year from now.

I think April is a good month. I live near and work in Spartanburg and it’s usually nice then. I had a weak moment and thought June wouldn’t be hot for our big day. Ha!

Based on our schedule, we pretty much have to do our wedding in June. It’ll be on the beach at around 5:30pm in HHI. How do you think the weather will be?

I think it will be nice, maybe a little humid but it will be fine! A date near the first of June would be less humid than near the end of the month. Good luck!
