<br />I found a very good deal for a Vera Wang Ethel dress, the only issue is that the original owner hasn’t dried cleaned it yet. I have read a lot of stories about the bottom of the dress being frayed and torn after the dry cleaning, because apparently that is what happens to raw edge silk organza. Any of you have dry cleaned this dress without causing any damage to the bottom?. Second owners of this dress what have been your experiences with this situation??

You may want to contact a Vera Wang bridal salon and request a list of suggested dry cleaners. The fabric in her dresses is extremely delicate and damages easily. Most of these dry cleaners won;t be cheap but have experience with Vera dresses. Good luck.

Send it to JScheers or Madame Paulette in New York. Pricey (guessing over $300+) but they are professionals and guaranteed to get you the gown in pristine condition.
