- Wedding: September 2012
I was recently diagnosed with a 5cm submucosal fibroid and had surgery 4 days ago. This was completely unexpected with all the wedding planning and studying for medicine boards. Well, the surgeon got 2/3 of the fibroid and he says I need repeat surgery to get the rest out. I’m super exhausted..boards are in august and wedding is in sept. And to top off everything, my health insurance ended friday because i just finished residency. So I can’t schedule my surgery until November when I start my job. My concern is that will nov will be too late. Other options include lupron, which will put me in temporary menopause. I am eorrisd about the side effects of this medication. I’m also anemic as well. Has anyone else experienced this? Will I be able to have children? I am 34 years old and I am starting to worry that this will create problems for me. Has anyone else gone through this??
