FH dropped his Iphone last night, and the screen shattered. He can get a new one June 1. I have an extra work phone but different number of course with a different carrier. FH thinks switching the number to the extra phone would mess up his AT and T account. Any good suggestions or how to replace the screen? Thanks!

I don’t think that if he switched his number to another phone would change his plan in any way. As long as he doesn’t buy a new phone, he should still be eligible for one in June. I doubt there is any way that you can replace the screen on it.

Apple will repair the screen for a charge…but it might be worth it to just wait and get a whole new phone.

There’s a little kiosk in a mall near me that repairs iPhone screens that have been cracked. I’m sorry that I don’t know the name of this company. With I could be more help, but there are places out there that can repair broken screens.

I totally feel for him. I accidently washed my phone a month ago. Because damage like broken screens and washing machines are not covered under the warranty you can get out of warranty service on the phone through the apple store. I know it sucks and you don’t want to spend more money than you have to, but depending on the phone its around $200 and you get the new one year warranty on the phone without having to change numbers or resign up for the plan. If you don’t need the phone when the contract comes up you can put it on ebay. It’s less traumatic to just go to the apple store and get the new phone than deal with switching numbers and new contracts. Good luck.
