How about Morris House Hotel?

Morris house is VERY expensive.

Did you try Bucks County or Lambertville—The Washington Crossing Inn is beautiful, has outdoor areas, and is very price friendly. Lambertville has a bunch of places too. How about The Pearl S. Buck Estate (but I’m not sure about their costs)?

You should also Pen Ryn Mansion.

Good luck!

I am getting married at Bolingbroke Mansion in Radnor, which meets all your criteria. They have an open caterer policy, which is a great way to save money. The rental, for ceremony and reception, is around $2k. I would really recommend the venue, and we have had great experiences working with their very friendly coordinator. Ask me if you have any other questions!

I am getting married at Hilltop House in Devon and it’s the same as Bolingbroke — pay to use the venue (in my case $3200) and bring in your own caterer and alcohol.  You can really save a lot of money.

I think you will really like Bolingbroke! It has so much character. The outdoor space is AMAZING! It is what sold me on it. We are having 90-100 guests, and personally in that space I wouldn’t go higher, but 60 would be a great number of guests! They specialize in intimate weddings ๐Ÿ™‚ I really don’t mind keeping the music only inside- other than the ceremony, of course. We are having a garden party type wedding on a Sunday afternoon, so it is going to be a little more casual than a typical wedding, I guess. But I think you could have an awesome dance party if you chose to there with 60 guests!

@sealevels:  Sure, no problem! Andrea, the site coordinator there, hasn’t mentioned anything about noise levels other than what’s in the contract (something about no loud noise in the garden during the afternoon, which is NBD as the ceremony doesn’t even start till 4pm.) I’ll PM you further details ๐Ÿ™‚

We’re doing Appel Farms — beautiful grounds and a big indoor space (though requires quite a bit of DIY to make it ‘pretty’ — or hiring of vendors if you’d prefer)

They’re in Elmer, NJ not too far from Philly

Check out the Aldie Mansion in Doylestown: http://partyspace.com/provider/detail/765

Unique & Beautiful venue.  It is a historic building with so much character!  There are several options for ceremony spaces.  April can be beautiful & sunny or showers for flowers.  If its nice out- you could get married outside in the garden, and with your guest count: you could get married inside in a beautiful room with large antique windows.  It would be perfect!  Budget is flexible- lots of options to help keep the cost down.  And you bring your own alcohol.  They have open houses every week too: no appointment necessary.  I’m getting married there this June and am so excited ๐Ÿ™‚
