What type of books to you enjoy? My favorite book is The Giver, but this is a YA book and also a quick read.

When I go on LONG trips (6+ hour flight) I like to pick up a classic because they are typical lengthy. Anna Karenina is my favorite.

If you are looking for a few quick reads, I also love the author Maeve Binchy. Circle of Friends and Quentins are my favorites, most Barnes and Nobles and Borders also offer a collection — 3 books in one.

If you like light, fantasy and haven’t read Twilight… it’s addicting and definitely will keep you engrossed on the plane ride!

What do you like?

Try the Emily Giffin series –

Something Borrowed

Something Blue

Baby Proof

Love the One You’re With

Or perhaps something by Philippa Gregory!  She does historical fiction centered around a lot of British history.  The Other Boleyn Girl, Queen’s Fool, etc.

An Italian Affair – Laura Fraser

Eat, Pray, Love – Elizabeth Gilbert

Big fan of "Jonathan Strange and Mr. Norrell"…could be great for a long read on a plane/vacation.  And it’s set in and near London.

It depends on what kind of books you like….

I really love Charlaine Harris’s Sookie Stackhouse novels! I have already read all the books that are out – Its hard to put them down. (sort of like Ann Rice novels but an easier read)

Their is a HBO series based on these books called "True Blood".  Great show too!

The Other Boleyn Girl was riveting.Philippa Gregory never fails to entertain me. Some of her sex scenes get my mind wandering though…they can be kind of naughty!

As was World Without End. I could NOT put them down. Depends if you like fun, sassy books, or books with heavy plots. I like the heavy plot books….love, sex, revenge, etc.

Everyone loved Eat, Love, Pray. I found it really really really boring

The shopaholic books are my fave plane reads, since they are "junk food books" fun to read, not very serious! plus shopaholic ties the knot is my fave!

I agree with futuremrslerman, Eat Pray Love is a great read. I took that on my honeymoon, as well.

I loved reading Confessions of a Shopaholic on our honeymoon. Another book I couldn’t put down was Watermellon by Marian Keys- actually all of her books are good. have fun!

Anything by Jodie Picoult. Also, Prep and American Wife by Curtis Sittenfeld are both awesome!

Oooh… I totally love the Twilight Series and the Sookie Stackhouse books as well. Definitely worth the read. I’m finishing up the latest book in the Sookie Stackhouse series now.  They’re just fun and something a little different than "normal" life, if there is such a thing

The Golden Compass Trilogy is awesome, and kind of set in London.

Don’t read TWILIGHT! It’s an amazing series, but it will have your thoughts drifting away from your husband & off to Edward. Plus you might get too involved & not want to do anything but read.
