Are you looking for strictly Christian artists or some mainstream songs with good messages and no foul language/suggestiveness? Also, do you want love songs or just anything fun to dance to? That will help the hive know what range of music to be considering.

Some Christian artist songs: Toby Mac- Made to Love, Barlow Girls- You’re Enough, Francesca Battistelli’s Beautiful Beautiful is very pretty, but not sure if it’s a slow dance type song or where it would fit. Matt Maher’s Hold Us Together is a nice song. Is that the type of thing you’re looking for? An aisle walk song I’ll have to think about, I’ll get back to you if something comes to mind. Smile

ETA- Anything Newsboys is pretty high energy and good for a dance, Super Chick and Mercyme have some good things, too.

that’s MY Song!! 🙂  I love that song…that’s the song for me and my man! We’re going to dance our first dance to that one, and so what if you and him cann’t dance he can hold you and you turn in a circle…that’s what most do (what my guy and I will be doing I’m sure).

There is also, songs from Leona Lewis she has a song called “Footprints in sand”, but not sure if she’s a christian or not.  I think she is.  You can try music from Michael W. Smith.  Try the Phillips Craig and Dean the “Revelation song”  You could walk down the isle to that.

A friend of mine wakled down to “In Christ Alone” in her wedding.  It was beautiful!

I think if you’re not planning on having a dance but just background music, any of your favorite Christian or clean mainstream songs will be fine.  Even if they’re really upbeat and even dance songs, if the music is set low to allow for conversation then anything should be fine for background music. Let us know when you pick your aisle song…even though Hold Us Together is really catchy, I love it enough I might use it if Fiance likes that idea too 🙂

I recommend any music from Jesus Culture and Brian and Jenn Johnson. Check out the music at http://www.ibethel.tv or http://www.ibethel.org

We are having dancing, however, while we are eating we will be playing Christian music.

Check out:

Kim Walker, Chris Quilala, Brian and Jenn Johnson, Jeremy Riddle, Melissa How, Dave Fitzgerald, Benjamin Dunn, Matt Gilman, Misty Edwards, Chris Mcclarney…great christian music!

Be Blessed!

“Jesu Joy of Man’s Desiring” and “Joyful, Joyful” (ie Beethoven’s Ode to Joy) are two of my favorite pieces of Christian music, and they work wonderfully for weddings. If we’d had an indoor ceremony with an organ or piano, we would have had the congregation sing “Joyful, Joyful.” As it was outdoors, we simply had the string quartet play “Jesu Joy of Man’s Desiring” for the entrance of the bridal party.

YOUR LOVE IS EXTRAVAGANT….nice, slow and very romantic

one of my friends used it throughout her wedding for various things;

I used it during our grand entrance to the reception and when we were cutting the cake. Love that song. It’s talking about God’s love but it relates to how you feel about your spouse during those incredible peak moments together.  “Your Love is extravagant. Your friendship is intimate.”
