@FutureMrsAlcaraz:  I drink the Atkins protein shakes (dark chocolate or mocha) for breakfast every morning, and they actually taste really good!  I also have used myfitnesspal.com to count calories & track exercise.  You can definitely do it if you are motivated & keep on an exercise program & diet.

It’s very possible!  I suggest P90X.  It’s a 3-month fitness regimen.  I did it twice in a row and got unbelievable reaults.  Google the results people have had!

@FutureMrsAlcaraz:  Join a diet program, like Weight Watchers and exercise on a regular basis. You can definately do it! I lost 80 lbs with WW and the gym! Good luck!

You can definitely do that!  My goal is 24 pounds in 3 months and I’m losing 2-3 pounds a week just by doing regular cardio, weightlifting and pure barre classes, and eating 5 small meals a day – veggies, fruits, protein (cheese, meat, seafood, chicken, almonds) and dairy (yogurt, cottage cheese, milk).  Pure Barre has a 3 month bride to be special.  It is more of a toning class than a weight loss class, but it does wonders for your waist and flattening your stomach (which is my trouble area!).

Perhaps try the Insanity workout! I’ve been doing it for a little over a week and boy, it’s kicking my ass! In a good way! I personally prefer Insanity to P90X, because the workouts are shorter and it’s cardio based which really allows the fat to melt off! That and honestly, Tony annoys me. Also, if you can do it, I recommend trying to get your workout done first thing in the morning. I have been doing this lately and it’s been so much nicer! I have to wake up earlier, but it’s really nice to just get it over with and then have the rest of the day to do whatever I want! I’ve found that when I have to do my workouts in the evening I find more reasons to put it off and it just doesn’t get done.

Food wise just cut out as much sugar as possible, drink lots of water, and eat lots of green veggies! Try juicing if you’re not really into the taste of veggies. Try to make healthier choices in general. For instance, I used to drink a 16 oz vanilla latte nearly 5 days a week! I switched to 12 oz of plain ol’ black coffee and due to the bitter taste I can’t even really finish the 12 oz size, which is good because then I get enough caffeine to feel refreshed, but I feel like I can fall asleep easier at night. Plus it’s been better on my wallet. 🙂

@FutureMrsAlcaraz:  There’s no truth to that. Eat when you’re hungry in the morning. I too am not a morning/breakfast person so I don’t usually eat until 7-7:30am, but I am up at 5. Good luck! If you want any help/motivation feel free to PM me.

+1000 for lifting heavy weights!!

I am a believer. I’ve experimented with it all…long distance running, insanity, p90x, and high intensity crossfit-style workouts. I just started doing a beginner’s lifting program, which consists mainly of barbell squats, bench, deadlift, and overhead press, with some other compound lifts thrown in for fun.

Never have I had the kind of results from anything else I’ve tried. Unless you’re way overeating, there’s little to no chance that it’ll ever get bulky! After a couple weeks of lifting 3x a week and eating (kinda) clean, the changes were pretty noticeable and it’s so empowering to feel strong!

My little 1-yr old chubbster of a niece feels so light now! Haha 🙂 I love it.

I’m absolutely loving Cardio Barre – I take classes at the Hollywood location: http://www.cardiobarre.com

I saw results after only a few classes. Also, if you can swing it even for a month or two I’ve had success with sunfare.com – it’s pricey but the food is very healthy and clean plus there are a lot of options. But again, it’s pricey. I’ve been doing it for a month now and it’s taught me a lot about portion control and the amount of food I should be eating every day. I’ve lost about 6 pounds in the first month. 

I’m in your same boat! Trying to lose about 20 pounds before my July wedding. Good luck!
