I have gotten some comments, too, but I just brush it right off.

I’m getting married on a Sunday! Not only is it saving us a substantial amount of money on our venue and photographer, it’s the second anniversary of our first date. So far, we haven’t gotten any flack for the unusual day-of-the-week, and it looks like most of our guests will be there…. *figers crossed*

We are a Sunday couple:)  Not too many comments now, but at first people were like really? (In that oh you couldn’t find a better day in my schedule to plan your wedding around)  *sigh*  In my head I’m like well if you don’t like it don’t come:)

I am learning that you will never make everyone happy 🙂

My wedding is on the Sunday or Labor Day weekend. I have had a few people complain that it’s on a Sunday and few others complain about the holiday weekend. What can ya do?!

Funny thing is that part of my Mom’s family is Jewish and they haven’t said a word about the Sunday wedding, it’s just the norm for them 🙂

I am a sunday bride as well. I just wanted that date and it happened to be on a Sunday. Getting all the advantages of a Sunday wedding is just an advantage. 😉

Not only am I a Sunday bride but I’m an afternoon bride as well…speaking of oddballs! We’re really not the stay up late and party type so right after the ceremoney we are having lunch/afternoon tea. Most of our guests work Saturdays so Sunday seemed more relaxing for us:)

Another Sunday evening wedding!  We aren’t religious, but both of our families are Jewish, so we really haven’t heard any backlash about the wedding being on a Sunday.  Plus, we moved to Chicago just over a year ago, and decided to hold the wedding here instead of my hometown in FL.  That is making it a destination wedding for 99% of our guests. FI’s family and friends are all international so they plan on coming for a week (and, thus don’t care about the wedding being on a Sunday).  All of my family and friends are American and most have commented that they plan on making it a mini-holiday.

Sorry to anyone receiving the negative comments for a Sunday wedding.  I don’t see what the big deal is.  You just have to understand you can’t please everyone.

Yep! Sunday of Labor Day weekend. Yeah, it’s a holiday weekend, but it also gives them a day off school/work both before and after the wedding… which was our rationale behind our choice of date.

I’m a Sunday bride! We didn’t choose Saturday because of budget issues. But we were debating between Friday or Sunday. We ultimately decided we rather have people leave early than come late. I also love even numbers so the 20th works out well. No one’s really said anything – except my dad who isn’t happy with anything!
