It really depends where you live. Apparently in Australia the average woman is 5’4. Personally I’d consider 5’4/5’5 to be absolute average and then 5’6 just slightly taller than average and 5’7 is when you ‘start’ being considered tall.
That being said, my sister is 5’6 and because she lives in an area with a primarily Asian/middle eastern migrant population she towers over everyone. She also has a really hard time with clothes being too short and was referred to as “the tall girl” at school. Idk – some people just have a tall energy even if they don’t actually measure that tall 😂

Are you into the cropped jean look at all? A lot of people feel it’s more flattering than full length jeans anyway, and easier to wear boots if you wanted. Maybe not the best if you live somewhere cold though!
But yeah brands really need to offer more lengths. The standard 32″ for everyone just isn’t cutting it. Fitting into jeans overall is a nightmare. For women at least, pants *need* stretch.

I’m almost 5ft10, I can usually get away with standard length leggings. I’ve always had problems finding jeans that fit right. Sleeve length is usually a problem too. I used to order from Long Tall Sally but since they closed their Canadian stores it’s way too expensive to order from the UK. My biggest problem is finding shoes im size 11 wide 😕

Im 6′ and wear a 35 or 36″ inseam, so too tall for any of the “long” or “tall” jeans the usual mall stores. I just wear a lot of dresses (with tights in the winter) and otherwise shop Long Tall Sally online when I absolutely need pants. Athleta leggings in a tall work for me and Levi skinny jeans go up to a 36″ inseam.

watching to read suggestions. I’m only 5’7″, but have the same issue with shrinkage: stuff (particularly loose/wide leg trousers which I love) fits just about ok when I first get it, and then shrinks by like an inch the second I wash them, so looks ridiculous (again, loose/wide leg trousers are the WORST, as they end up skimming my ankle and just look stupid).
I think it’s a fabric thing, but the styles I like are always in the same bloody fabrics!
For UK bees recommending makes like Long Tall Sally, what is the minimum height they’re designed for?

I am US 16 in pant size and 5′ 11″ so it is especially hard to find pants, I have no advice really, I just kind of learned to live with cropped pants haha
