I’m the same height as you – I’m wearing a tea length dress (justin alexander 8465).  My Fiance is 6’3″ and I’m wearing 3.5″ heels so we’ll be about the same height.  Until I tried on this dress, I thought I wanted a long, lace slight A-line or mermaid with flats.  Although many of the samples were not long enough for me, all the bridal salons said we could order extra length.

I am not as tall as you (5’9″) but I have also encountered a bit of issues. My dress is the PERFECT length… when I am barefoot ๐Ÿ™ I wanted to wear some cute heels but it’s not happening because I would have to order it with an extra 4 inches if I got it any longer and I am afraid I wouldn’t have the time to get it hemmed and what not… so I am going to be wearing some “ruby red slipper” flats ๐Ÿ™‚

i’m 5’10” and wanted to wear 3” heels, but I won’t be able to put a crinoline under my dress (allure 8705) so I think i might not wear the ones i bought…..ah! what a dilemma!

I’m just a bit over 6′, Fiance is 5’8″, I’m going dress shopping this weekend so we shall see how it goes! I know I am wearing flats, I can’t walk in heels. I am pretty worried about how short the samples will be.

Pronovias’ dresses are pretty long. I’m 5’10 and wearing 3 inch heels and my dress is still long enough.

I am 5’9 and i was wearing 4 inch Carrie Manolos on my wedding day, which brought me to the height of my husband. I did have to order a longer dress, which did cost me more, but ended up deing perfect!

I am 5’10”. I couldn’t find anything that was long enough and lots of dress makers don’t make them in “tall”.  So I went with designers who made dresess based on hallow to hem measurements so that it would be long enough. DH is 6’5″ though so no issues there. I actually wore a 4″ blue heel too. (I hope my friend never sees this, but she got married before us in July and she’s tall too. In ever shot I focus on the fact that you can see her ankle in her DB dress and it drives me crazy) It did make me taller than my father which he wasn’t happy about, but we are the same hieght and I was wearing those shoes regardless ๐Ÿ™‚ There’s us with my rents.

I’m 5ft 11 and wearing flat shoes. My dress is a mermaid by mori lee

I didnt need extra length and I actually added a poufy crinoline and the dress is the perfect length the alterations was actually trying to raise the hem by about 1/8 of an inch or less. But I told her not to, since there really is no need for that. I was very worried about the dress being too short but its perfect!!!!

I’m 5’11 and got my dress at David’s Bridal. I paid $50 or $75 for extra length on my dress when I ordered it. I got 2 1/2″ heels and although I won’t need to have it hemmed I could probably go with a slightly higher heel and still not have it too short. Fiance is 6’2 so I stuck with 2 1/2″.

I’m 5’11” and I wore a mermaid cut dress.  I remember that at some of the other bridal salons, the sales ladies thought I would need extra length through the bodice (I’m rather long waisted).  I didn’t have to order any extra length with my dress, though.  The seamstress actually took it up a bit.  I wore flats, however.  Here is a picture of me with my mom!  (forgive the quality–it’s from a phone).

I’m also 5’11”

My first dress was a mermaid by Pronovias and I could wear about 2.5″ heels with it. The one I actually wore was JA9552 WITH a sizable crinny and flats.
