I’m 5’9″ wearing 5 inch heels. I think I got really lucky with the design of my dress, as I have no problem at all. Sorry for you gals that are. I know I was worried about that and it must be a pain 🙁

@kcoconut: I’m the exact same height and I bought a dress from The Limited, which is crazy long! I don’t know if all their styles are as long and they don’t have any mermaid dresses, but it could be worth a look. They’re also super affordable.

We are actually the same height. I had trouble at David’s everything was ankle length! My dress is a trumpet style. The lady at the salon said “final someone tall enough to wear this dress!”
I got my dress made hollow to hem, I do plan on wearing flats or a very low heel. I haven’t got my dress in yet.

I’m 6’1 and I’m wearing a mermaid dress–I think mermaid and fit-and-flare dresses look fabulous on tall girls! I was super worried about finding a dress that was long enough, but every single designer I tried on makes their dresses long, and while I did spend a couple extra hundred dollars to have the dress made 3″ longer, I was really surprised at how well the sample dresses fit (in regards to length).
I’m also wearing 2″ heels–thank goodness my fiance is 6’5! :o)

I’m 5’11” also, and my dress is the perfect length with flats, thank goodness! I wanted to wear flats though, and was glad for the excuse. My Fiance is 6’2″ so we’ll be set. But really, if you guys are the same height in daily life, it will be fine for you to stay pretty much even for the wedding day! You’ll be stunning, girl! 🙂

I’m only 5’7″ and I had a hard time with dress lenght. Most dresses were JUST a bit short without shoes. I had great luck with Pronovias dresses and I’ve heard other tall brides did too.
Just ask the consultant to look up the hollow to hem on dresses before you try them on. The consultant I had got a little annoyed with me, but you would be surprised the dresses she had to put back because they didnt come with extra lenght!

I’m 5’10 and will probably wear 3-4″ heels. I ordered a Vera Wang dress and had to spend about $700 for 3 extra inches for the skirt. My fiance is 6’5″ so there will still be a height difference, which I like 🙂

I’m 5’11 and 1/2 and I bought Maggie Sottero “Nora’. I didn’t need to get extra length, I actually need to take a little bit off. I’ll be wearing 1 1/2 inch heels and then turn to my flats when my feet hurt. Here’s my dress.

I am 5’11” and wore a Maggie Sottero ballgown. I did not get extra length and actually had to have a few spots hemmed.

I am 5’9′ and wore 4″ heels. (My husband is 6’3″ so he was still taller than me). I had a mermaid style dress too from David’s Bridal and did not need extra length nor any hemming. It was the perfect length just as is. The seamstress was a little miffed that I did not need any alterations (other than adding a bustle). haha.

I know Casablanca does hallow-to-hem measurements, so that way you would be able to order it for height with no problem.

I’m 5’10” and almost hte exact same height as my husband. When I was dress shopping I had a hard time finding dresses that were long enough in the torso, but I found that the Watters/Wtoo dresses fit me well. I ended up in Watters Escalante. I wore flats so I didn’t need extra length and the hem actually ended up being exactly the right height so I didn’t even need to hem in the front!
