The Lost Roanoke Colony always freaked me out as a kid.
The Lost Roanoke Colony always freaked me out as a kid.
following because I’m a criminal justice major and want to be a homicide detective. This stuff is so interesting to me!
Something else that I just thought about. People who seem to just vanish intrigue me, and I know there are are so many of them, but Matthew Greene is one I’ve been keeping up with recently.
These are all true apparently.
DAMMIT I’ve read every single thing posted so far. I knew I would, I’m not surprised that I did…but I’m creeped out home alone waiting for Mr. H to get here (even though it’ll scare the shit out of me when he does) and I need y’all to post more!
First off, my mom didnt believe in ghosts. Until one morning she opened her bedroom door and saw a child run from right outside her door to the living room. She said it was so realistic that she ran in there really thinking a kid got into the house.
The first few times I tried to take a shower here I heard banging on the door and mens voices, even though I was home alone.
The first night a friend spent the night we were sleeping up in my room. I couldnt sleep, so I got up and went downstairs to watch tv for a bit. When I got sleepy I decided to sleep in my moms room because she was working 3rd. I closed and locked the door and went to bed. Right when I started dozing off I heard footsteps walking toward the room, and it stopped right when it sounded like it was outside the door. I looked up and the door was wide open. I ran upstairs to find my friend still asleep. There was no way she could have opened the locked door and ran back upstairs without me seeing her.
The next night my friend was still there, and I hadnt told her what happened because she’s terrified of stuff like that. She went to take a shower, and I went downstairs to clean, and left the tv and the light on. When she was done she came out and asked me why I was banging on the door. I told her I wasnt, but she swore she heard someone banging on the door. Then she went upstairs, and about 2 seconds later I heard a scream and she ran down the stairs. She claimed she had saw someone standing in a corner. I went upstairs, and the light and tv were off, and I know I left them on. We decided to sleep in the living room that night. When I woke up in the morning and went upstairs, my tv and light were back on.
Another time me and a friend were standing in the kitchen talking, and from right in between us we both heard a child-like giggle. We both froze and stared at each other in shock. It literally sounded like a 4 year old was standing right there beside us.
I’ve been laying in bed and felt like someone climbed into bed. It was so real that I actually got up and looked around to see if one of the dogs was in the room.
I was sleeping one night and suddenly woke up for no reason. I sat up and looked around looking for a reason I would be awake and I saw someone walk over to my computer. I didnt even freak out or anything because I thought it was my brother. Then I realized he was at work. So I jumped out of bed and walked over there and there was nobody in the room.
I used to babysit a little girl (1 year old) who used to smile and babble when there was nobody there. She was way too young to have an imaginary friend. I took a picture of her once when she had just been babbling to something, lightened the picture, and you can actually see a child size figure next to her.
Another day I was feeding the same little girl. She was sitting in her high chair while I was making her food, and she was smiling and being happy. Suddenly she looked like she was looking at something behind me and made a face of absolute horror. I said her name a couple of times, but she would not look away from this spot. I finally had to get her out of the high chair and take her to another room.
There has been a couple of times where everything in the shower will get knocked off. They’re not on hanging shelves or anything that might fall, they’re on built in shelves. It literally looks like someone just took their hand and swiped everything off.
Some smaller things that have happened include:
Footsteps when I’m the only one home.
Things appearing in a different spot than you left them.
I’ve heard someone singing once, when I was home alone.
My mom heard crying once and actually sought me out because she thought I was crying.
You constantly hear things moving around.
My dogs have been known to watch things.
I also once witnessed one of my dogs tails being dragged up over his back (he was sleeping.) Right after that happened he woke up and began growling at something.
The “Paul is Dead” rabbit hole. I truly believe Paul McCartney was replaced. I’m not a fan of the Beatles but I’ve stayed up nights researching it.
<div>Several “true” stories from paranormal.about.com have stuck with me. </div>
<div>I’m a huge junky for this kind of stuff…time slips, shadow people, UFOs..</div>
Um, yeah, anyone remember the thread awhile ago asking if we’d ever been in a life threatening situation? One person posted a crazy scary story about her fixer-upper childhood home in the middle of nowhere that was vandalized while they were in the home one night. I try not to think about that story….
Also, the Jessica Heeringa disappearance was within a mile of my house so that creeps me out although there are some community rumors that make it less scary….
Here’s the Jessica Heeringa story: http://www.huffingtonpost.com/jon-leiberman/adults-dont-vanish_b_4239883.html
