I’m a closeted fan, I think I’ve seen Twilight 1000 times thanks to repeats on the movie channels.  The acting is awful (especially from Kristen and Taylor), no doubt about it – but there’s something about it that I can’t resist!  I love the imagery and the setting of Forks/Vancouver/WA.  So gorgeous.

I’ve read all of the books and am looking forward to Breaking Dawn 1 & 2!  Not the birth scene though… I can’t imagine that’ll be lovely.

LOVE the books! loved them. not a huge fan of the movies, but i ‘ve seen them all and ill see the 4th.

i really did enjoy the books – kristen stewart just bugs me as bella! she has the look, but is such a terrible actress.

the movies do no justice for the books but thats the norm for most books made into movies…i felt that about HP too…though the last HP movies was the only one i thought came close to capturing how great the books are. hopefully breaking dawn will do the same.

Have you read steph’s other book The Host? AMAZING!

I’m completely obsessed with the books and movies (though the movies aren’t nearly as good, and in fact “Twilight” was a disaster IMO).  It’s sort of out of character for me because I don’t usually like romances, but I LOVE it.  The first time I read the books I literally couldn’t concentrate on anything else.

Haha, I resisted the craze for so long, I refused to see the movies or read the books. And I loooooove to read, and I kinda have a slight vampire fetish (that’s an entirely different post), so it was more of a ‘I’m rebelling because it’s so trendy’ kind of mentality. But then, my bestest friend in the whole wide world said he was into the movies. Forty year old gay man into teenage emo vamps and wolves? Lolwut?!? Okay, I gotta see what all the fuss is about. So I watched both of the first movies on dvd, and I was hooked. Hopelessly hooked. BFF and I even made a date to go see the third one when it came out in theaters!  They’re kinda so bad, they’re good, lol. I can’t wait ’til Breaking Dawn comes out.

I still refuse to read the books, even when everyone around me prattles on and on about them. It’s the rebel in me, man. Cool

P.S. Team Edward!!!! Even though, IRL, Taylor is much hotter.

@totheislnds  I loved the HOST!!

My daughter and I have read all the books and watched all the movies together.  I can’t wait for the next one.  Def agree about the birth scene – not sure how that’s going to go.

I think it will either be like that, or it will end with Bella opening her eyes for the first time as a vampire and looking around at everyone.

I love the Twilight books. I can see where people don’t like them, but I think they are fun. I’m not into the whole picking teams and all that, but I just enjoyed a fun easy-read type book. I actually started reading them in high school before they got all super hyped up and liked them (it was only the first and second one at that point) then. I haven’t been able to get into the movies because Edward is sooooo far away from what I pictured in my head that it’s hard for me to watch it.

Future Mother-In-Law is obsessed!!! In the worst way. For Christmas last year she got the soundtrack, Twilight water bottles for the gym, Edward t-shirts, puzzles, the trivia game. Basically anything Twilight she got. It was ridiculous.
