What do you mean your not yet engaged? You have a date and youve been planning sounds like your engaged to me! πŸ™‚ Are you waiting for the official proposal/ring?

Honestly, I think you will be fine..October is pretty far off. Just as long as you set weekly goals of the DIY stuff you want to finish and the priorities for the wedding you can do it!

I think its plenty of time.. The only thing I would say start looking at is a dress.. they usually take 6-8 months to get in.

We’re kind of in the same situation. We’re unofficially engaged and waiting for him to get a job in my city before the proposal. We’re hoping for a November wedding, but if he doesn’t find a job here before May/June we will have to push it back to next summer. I’m glad that we haven’t booked any vendors in case our plan falls through, but I’m starting to get super nervous that either we will have to push it back OR if it is in November that everything won’t get done on time!

I’d LOVE to get married this fall but also don’t have a ring/actual proposal.  Bf says we’ll be engaged “soon” (whatever that means) and that he wants to get married this fall as well… so while I hope to get married this year, I’m not exactly “planning” on it, per se.

I want to get married on October 23. We have discussed that as a good possibility because his closest sibling will be here on vacation then and both the church and reception venue are available. Sigh. I want to be officially engaged so much! We may have a courthouse ceremony to make it legal fairly soon because I need the health insurance, and we want to get married anyway, then have the wedding in October and have time to pay for everything, plus I’m in weight watchers and will look a lot better by then. (Those pics last a long time!)

Also, I’ve already diy’d quite a few things. So either they will be there for our wedding or I’ll sell them on here. Fingers crossed for our wedding!

Our date is set for Jan. 8, 2011 and I have yet to get a diamond. I know I have longer than you other girls but I’m still worried! πŸ™‚

ME!! According to Boyfriend or Best Friend he says we will get married this year, but yet still no ring! He keeps telling me to be patient and trust me. I have done alot of research and inspiration boards, but nothing is in stone as far as a venue or anything. I am just worried that he will wait to late to do his proposal and we wont have enough time to plan. Side note- I say his proposal because if some have read my background story I proposed to him but yet he wanted to propose so I ended up being a waiting bee.

I am sure there will be enough time like the other bees have said as long as you are very organized! πŸ™‚
