Me! Me! Me!

We are already married, but I am sure I can answer your question.

My son married us and he got ordained online through American Marriage Ministries. He just filled out what he needed to and we didn’t have any issues. We had trouble finding information too, but so far so good. We received our certified copies awhile back. I just went in and picked them up, after I knew they had received the original.

@LadyCheri: You are very welcome 🙂

We didn’t need anything. I know my son has some sort of documentation though, that he got when he applied to get ordained. We didn’t have to show anything though. We just went in and got our license and then mailed the certificate in, then went to the marriage license office about a week later and picked up our certified copies. We were worried too, but it went through with no problems.

@LadyCheri: lol, our plan was to run to California, if it didn’t work for us 🙂

All the marriage certificate asks if if your wedding was religious or civil (online ordained minister makes it religious), the name of the person marrying you, who they are ordained by, and what their address was. WA recognizes any type of minister, and the online churches like Universal Life Church count. Our friend was ULC ordained and we had no problems.
