I’m an idiot. With all the madness at work, I completely forgot to start my new pill pack on Monday. When I called Tues. morning to get it refilled, I was OUT of refills! I just took it for granted I guess. I called the Dr. and he got it phoned in around 2 pm. I couldn’t pick it up til after work at 6. So I took one last night, and one this morning, but still need to take one tonight to catch up and am SO SICK to my stomach. I can only imagine it’ll get 10x worse by tomorrow- THANKSGIVING! I want to enjoy it, it’s the first time I will be baking and cooking for others 🙂 I couldn’t even eat lunch today b/c it was so bad.
I tend to get slightly nauseated when I start a new pack, even if I start it on time! Grrr… I usually just barrel through it, but I don’t want to be miserable tomorrow. Any suggestions?? Will plain ol Pepto work?

Maybe you should remember to take your pills on time…..;)
Saltines and a coke (sounds weird, but it helps me!)

If you’re nauseous, I would try Dramamine.
I have horrible nausea w/ regular BC so I had to switch to a lower dosage. If this is on going you may want to look into the same.
I hope you feel better and get to enjoy your turkey day! 🙂

Sprite and pretzels!
I know how you feel. I get nauseous with every single pack, so I started switching to taking them right before I went to bed, that way I am not awake to notice it as much.

I am obsessed with Reed’s ginger ale. I get the extra-ginger. It really helps!

Thank you! I took one about 6 pm and actually don’t feel anything now! yay.. but it looks like a diet of crackers and soda in the moring is on my list if it decides to come back.
@KansasPrincess11: No kidding … how RIGHT are you?! lol.. no little ones quite yet….. 😉
@CaraMia10: I actually do have Dramamine, thanks for the tip if it gets really bad! I also have an appt in Jan and will definitely bring it up.
@cbee: Ginger ale??? Randomly, we have a 2 liter of that too 🙂 If it works, it works!

pp all have good suggestions that have worked for me. There are also some popsicles that are for chemo patients that work, check right aid or Walgreen’s, and they have some over the counter syrup that works well too, They might not have the popsicles right now, not sure if they are just in the summer or not

If it’s an option, consider an – ahem – “herbal” remedy. It’s great for nausea and you’ll really, really enjoy Thanksgiving dinner.
